Pokemon by nature has a lot of casual appeal though, at least far more then your Metroids, F-Zeros, or Dark Souls. They're simple to understand and get into, has gameplay that is appealing to all different groups of people, and monsters with widespread appeal. Additionally, much of its media appeals to a casual audience as the anime is a merchandising show, Go has huge appeal with those who exclusively play on phones, and toys that kids love to play with. It does have elements that a hardcore crowd can appreciate of course like competitive, but it doesn't change the fact that at its core Pokemon's appeal is greatly owed to its accessibility.

At least it has PS4 compatibility... only wish it would finally freakin have PS3 compatibility since some great PS3 titles have yet to have rereleases...

Don’t need PS2 compatibility, there’s emulators for that

Did you ever hear the tragedy of The Hunchback of Notre Dame the Good? I thought not. It's not a story the French would tell you. It's a Church legend. The Hunchback of Notre Dame was a friend of the Church, so good and so caring he could use his strength to save lives… He had such a knowledge of the good in people's hearts that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The pursuit of love is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so strong… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his Chapel, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he saved everyone from the fire, and then could not escape at the last moment. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.

Speaking of Sony exclusives

Wish they’d make digital releases of some Vita exclusives like Persona 4 Golden and Tales of Hearts R... or even just heckin port them to PC/Switch/etc

We still don’t have a Vita emulator, so... with PSP i ain’t worried, we got PPSSPP

*edit* well we do technically have Vita3K, but it can’t run commercial games atm

The biggest problem is that I have a feeling that once again, Sony is skimping on backwards compatibility. Hell, we don't even know what this means. Does this mean PS4 discs? What about digital copies?

Like, the PS3 had really good backwards comp and even had it's own virtual console, then when the PS4 happened, they completely just pull a Nintendo and only have PS3 discs compatible, which meant having to re-release a lot of **** mid-late down the PS4's timeline. Hell, you can even play FFVIII on the PS3.

I'm worried that'll be the case. And I'm also glad that they're going with SSDs, but combining that with 8K support (which is kinda dumb since 4K 60fps isn't even close to the standard at all yet), this console is no doubt going to be exponentially expensive. SSDs are not cheap, either.
