You're right. You're assuming too much. I've been the unsung champion of planning your DLC ahead of time. DLC takes at most 4 months to make. In the last 3-4 months before launch all you're doing is play testing. debugging, and balancing. When all you are doing is balancing and play testing, the characters for base you can afford to divert a few people to get a head start on DLC

But whatever. You want the conversation to be over than fine. If you're fine with inconsistent release dates and nothing but droughts with nothing to speculate on or get excited about than fine.

I appreciate that they finish the game before they start DLC, and I'd rather they announce it when it's ready than have to delay it if it's not finished in time. Like others have said, we know there will be 5 new characters over the next 10 months. Sounds an awful lot like a semi-monthly DLC release...

man you should try growing up in poverty. it might help you appreciate things like having a game with over 70 ****ing characters and not be so dramatic about such minuscule things

Or they release Joker now, say nothing till E3 and then drop the next two in October with no buildup, then release the final two at the last possible moment in February because Nintendo doesn't plan anything.

I mean, that could happen, but I'm still getting my characters by February.

To be fair, what's happened with Joker is kind of unheard of. 4 months with no information other than "He's coming!"? Only other time it's happened that I can think of was Mewtwo, but he's a veteran so we knew what to expect. Every other newcomer for Smash DLC was shown with a trailer about 2 months in advance. ****, we don't even officially have the render yet, can you blame people when Nintendo doesn't even want to show us that? I'm fine with waiting on Brave because we're not supposed to know about them
