Thoughts Going Into April

Smash Ultimate: We still don't know what 3.0.0 is as a whole, whether it'd be how many modes, character changes, the size of Joker's DLC pack (character, stage, etc.), and if the rumor mill is to be believed, there's no way Erdrick can headline E3. Released there? Oh, no doubt. Reveal? Nah. So what I can think of is instead of a Smash-specific Nintendo Direct, it'll be classified and treated as it's own Video Presentation. (Example here.) What could be my thoughts going in:

• Official Joker reveal
• Quick round-up of Joker's moveset, stage, and any other Persona 5-related info
• Reveal of new modes
  • Possibly Home Run Contest and Stage Builder
• Reveal of DLC Mii Costumes (which you know what that means, Cremation Time)
• Confirmation of more Amiibo
• Erdrick reveal at the end

Persona 5: As per usual, they'll go ahead and do reveals for their own dates for Persona 5 The Royal and S, and who knows what'll go down. From what certain Persona-heads here have said about either or, P5R can be either the Definitive Edition/Sequel and P5S just be a $60 Switch port, OR, P5S is also P5R but with added Switch functionality. It seems as if P5R will happen during the concert, with P5S being its own thing entirely the next day, so that could also might be where the next possible Direct date be, with a Mario Maker 2 Direct in the middle of the month, or possibly in May, even.

Mario Maker 2: As I've said before, with Nintendo taking down their YouTube policies and the Switch, before E3 -- having sold 40+ million units from a ravenous install base -- I think that a Mario Maker 2 Direct could happen. Game specific Directs outside of insanely big name titles have happened before, so if Splatoon 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 got their own Direct, I could 100% see Mario Maker 2 get the same treatment. Besides, we need to see how gameplay works w/o the Wii U gamepad and the release date, after all.

Going Foward After April?: Banjo & Kazooie at E3 for Smash Ultimate or bust.
