Oh, okay...

Well, the fact that the Dragon Quest even has a myth related to it at all further cements it's legacy, for me at least.
If not the myth. The absurd amount of merchandise it has, related media and the amount of cultural references in Japanese media it gets should be an indication to its legacy. Its practically part of pop culture there, which is more you can say about most franchises even here.

Me for like the entire roster speculation cycle.

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, thinks Fortnite should be banned.

I don't know why I find this so funny, but I do.

In all seriousness, though, gaming can be an addiction...like anything in life. It comes down to parents actually parenting their kids and setting restrictions than just immediately believing that every piece of misfortune that befalls you is the fault of everything except yourself in some situations.

i saw someone describe DQ as one of japan's biggest cultural exports and that pretty much sums it up

...save for the part where the exports don't actually catch on all that well in the countries they're exported to, but it's the national scale that counts

How hypocritical of a monarch to say something should be banned

i like to imagine that somewhere out there, there's a japanese streamer/content creator who's going to have as big a reaction to erdrick as max did to cloud

-Imagine waiting 13 years for The Incredibles to be in KH3

-You get Big Hero 6 instead.

I mean, tbf Sora's VA at the very least had good direction
That scream at the end of one of those trailers at the least shown me that Sora's voice actor can still do some real good ****, I'll say that at the least. However, I'd still say the writing is what makes or break scenes.

It's kinda what I'm going through with FFVII right now. I get that it's like a 22 year old game and all, but some parts definitely haven't aged well. Cid is a bit rough around the edges sometimes.

tbh the actual power of the royal family in the UK is mostly just a formality at this point, other than that their only real job is to go about and shake people's hands

and to be fair to harry, i think he's made a decent enough (if not pretty commonly-acknowledged) point about harmful social media addiction that's going to get lost in the 'ban fortnite' bit

Its pretty curious, where I was born (and various countries) the games are not very popular but one of the manga spinoffs (Dai no Daibouken which is in Jump Force) is relatively well-known for people around my age group. I think there is a possible market, but it never helps that there are quite long gaps in the west where there arent any DQ games.

I feel like BH6 fits the KH universe better than Incredibles would, imo

Mostly because it takes major inspiration from anime, manga, and lot of Japanese media, and would blend in with a very Japanese game like Kingdom Hearts almost perfectly

The Incredibles on the other hand is more western inspired, taking pages (heh pun) from golden and silver age comic books, and imo, would feel kinda weird for Kingdom Hearts

But maybe that's just me

There’s an extremely long compilation of Japanese reactions to the K. Rool reveal so probably.
Imagine reading 'King K Rool is irrelevant' arguments for half a decade.

Then to go through life and wind up seeing that trailer at work.

Imagine marking out only for a co-worker to spot you and then proceed to mark out.
had to make a quick fix
It hurts more cuz you right.

Back in the early speculation days, before we collectively argued it down to Incineroar being most likely, Lycanroc was on of the alternate suggestions to the waves of Decidueye supporters. There were still few peole suggesting him (I actually thought his Midnight form wouldn't be bad), but support was there.

I don't know where they came back from now, though. Once Incineroar was confirmed, support for all others seemed dumb lol. If (and that's a ginormous if) another pokemon were to be added; it'd likely be the last DLC character and it would be one from Sword & Shield; not from Sun & Moon. Going even beyond that, if there were a Sun/Moon pokemon added, it would be Decidueye since that was the one Sakurai's team was deciding between.

They're only still alive because as we all proved back in October, denial is a powerful ****ing drug
