He legit looks like a rejected Gen V lookin *** Pokemon. I mean, I'm sorry if there are still any supporters, but man, I just couldn't get myself to like or want to know this Pokemon at all.

It was one of the most promoted Pokemon during the generation, particularly in the anime where it serves as Ash's current ace, and is one of the most popular if we take the Nintendo Dream poll into consideration (where its Dusk form placed fifth). So fans wanted to see it and felt it had a chance.

I mean I don’t mind, both movies are pretty excellent.

That scream at the end of one of those trailers at the least shown me that Sora's voice actor can still do some real good ****, I'll say that at the least. However, I'd still say the writing is what makes or break scenes.

Not to mention I feel like the dialogue is very slowly delivered at times.

There’s an extremely long compilation of Japanese reactions to the K. Rool reveal so probably.

To be fair, King K. Rool was essentially Japan's most wanted Smash character for quite a long time after Snake was in. Snake was still wanted for DLC during Smash For, but no doubt K. Rool still held that title. Donkey Kong Country 2, man, they revere that game to hell and back.

It's not very often Japan collectively decides on a single character to go all in on, unlike the rest of the world going for multiple characters.

I’m convinced at this point. There’s literally no one else it could be. Every other developer has made some form of statement related to their character in Smash except for Rare. Before it was looking likely that Steve would get in but after that Minecraft developer commented on that April Fool’s joke tweet, now suddenly it isn’t.
I think it should be a rule of thumb that if a developer comments on the possiblity of their character in Smash, that character is deconfirmed.

I ain't gonna stop holdin' my breath just yet. The last time I was intrigued by any insider when it came to Smash was that the "Square rep was gonna be first", and I don't think Joker is from Square.
