I bit unrelated to what's going on, but something I find cool.

Someone ripped the Tekken 4 voice lines finally. There's A LOT of unused stuff. Like Hwoarang speaking in Japanese and Engrish instead of Korean, Lei Wulong speaking Japanese instead. Steve having a COMPLETELY different(and worse) voice. There's another video having the announcer listing off names the characters who didn't show up in 4. Weirdly enough, Jinpachi, a character from Tekken 5 was also named, so maybe he was intended to be in T4 at some point.

That said, all the "Hurt" grunts sound really weird when not in the context of a fight.

I don't dislike the idea of people playing as her, I dislike the idea of EVERYONE playing as her.
Like, no one is going to play as male Joker if he gets a female alt, and that's gonna bother me because I'm so used to male Joker.
I mean, I can't prevent people from playing as who they want, it's just...

I highly doubt that male Joker will be forgotten.
Just b/c we're supposedly getting a female alt w/ him doesn't mean that everyone will exlcusively use the female alt.
There are still people that play as despite also having female alts.
Plus the initial positive reaction to Joker coming to Smash was prior to us knowing about Jane or P5R, so I think it's safe to say they'll be plenty of people playing male Joker.

i'll quote an older post of mine from today

still very possible, given how atlus seems to have chosen her trailer line to sow as much confusion as possible - nevertheless, the argument ultimately boils down to what atlus want us to know (the trailer, her apparently disliking the thieves) versus what they don't want us to know (jane being a joker skin)

i'm still thinking female joker for several reasons:

• her uniform design, like 'male' joker's, is as generic/normal as possible, with only little touches that reference the game's overall aesthetic (her bright red shoes/bow) - a common trait for persona protagonists
• she's presumably a joker skin, which means the same weapon, animations, and special moves (probably Arsene's abilities, which are specific to individual personas and so have little room for change outside of a female variant like in persona 3 portable), meaning sakurai would have to be taking some serious liberties with her representation if she was her own character in p5 royal
• a feMC for persona 5 has been highly requested for a while, and (this is more hypothetical) her design seems made to intentionally recall persona 3's female protagonist

Because she has a ponytail and a Smash datamine showed that one of the colors might have ponytail physics and is called "Jane" a female variant of Jack.

It's either a very large coincidence or indicative of some sort of link between the two characters.

I for one really like Joker's design and will likely play the male version more than the character alt, if there's a female character alt at all. However, that doesn't mean I wouldn't go for the female design as well here and there.

It wouldn’t put it past Atlus to do another bad marketing decision, but blatantly having this new female lying in a promotional trailer would be confusing for people who see the first trailer, and then think she hates the Phantom Thieves.

At least, I think that would be foolish. But I could be wrong. They really should have just been up front with it and said who she was.

Again, though, she won’t be a 1 to 1 of Joker for a handful of different reasons unless they develop an entirely new story for the character herself.

Anyways, one thing I do care about on april fools is whatever Rockman Unity does. Every year they do an april fools joke, but a lot of the time it ends up becoming reality in some way. See this X design, which ended up becoming a toy and a costume in MVCI

Might be something to keep an eye on.
