sony has no reason to replace the vita though. they aren't nintendo. Nintendo NEEDS to make consoles to get a profit. Consoles are just one of Sony's many ventures

The PlayStation brand is also one of the only ventures generating enough revenue to keep Sony afloat.

The 2000s have not been kind to them.

I'm not arguing that. I'm arguing that abandoning the Vita was a bad decision. The PSP went toe to toe with the regular DS, and the Vita could've done the same with the 3DS. Sony tanked it through their own poor business decisions and marketing and then dropped it instead of salvaging it.
