On the topic of Notch's personality and Minecraft, I don't think that jas anything to do with the enjoyment of Minecraft. Yes, Notch isn't the best person, but majority of people who are aware tend to seperate product from their creator, and the majority of players are just simply unaware, or just don't care for Notch. I find this statement kinda ironic coming from someone who's "Anyone is Here" banner has mostly JRPG protagonists.

So by sticking to this statement, you're essentially going against 2 of your wanted characters (3 if Joker counts as well) getting into another genre of game, in this case a fighting game, b/c they are from JRPGs.
