I can say that MvCi didn't have cross play between the Windows Store and Steam, though that wasn't published by Microsoft. Hard to say. It got a surprise "play anywhere" addition so I could play my Xbox version with a couple PC friends, but then it turned out we couldn't because the Steam version is a separate version.
Capcom's oddly supportive of the Play Anywhere program; Resident Evil 7 was on it, too. For some reason Dead Rising 4 wasn't, and it caused me to end up purchasing the game twice. I have regrets.

Cross play is also spotty and inconsistent. Gears of War 4 has cross play between console and PC, but only for co-op modes, which makes sense. But then for other games, like Halo Wars 1 and 2, there is none.

Master Chief Collection is probably the highest-profile game they've added, so hopefully that means they take these things more seriously, but I'm not holding my breath. Very excited, but my heart has some grave concerns.

This thread title is the most accurate one I have seen in days.

This is the worst Verge leak i've ever seen.

Pineapple the Cat.
A fruit present in Hawaii, and a cat. A cat, huh...

Incineroar was always watching over you.

Btw is anyone here noticing something unusual about my text? :yoshi:
This is a good way to test how well people can differentiate colors.

So I was curious if Vergeben said anything or something recently so I went to Smashfaqs.

The first thing I saw was you-know-who attempting to argue Lucina is less unique than Daisy is. Never go to Smashfaqs, folks. Your PSA of the day from Captain Obvious. :p

Odd title, but ok. lol

What is this, Harry Potter?
It's the most emotionally powerful portion of the game. Chrom's older sister, Emmeryn, let herself die as a martyr to keep Chrom and the rest of the Shepards from throwing their lives away to save her, and as your group leaves the battle defeated, a straggling portion of the Plegian army finds you while Chrom is still mourning his loss. The opposing commander says that Emmeryn would not want bloodshed in her name, and Chrom interrupts with, "Don't speak her name!!"

Then you fight, and unlike every other map in the game, there's no calm/battle/boss version of the song that alternates. It's just this song, uninterrupted, as you fight your way through a solemn and trying battle against an enemy that understands your loss but no less still has to try and kill you. It's my single favorite FE song.

Can’t hop on until maybe Thursday. Got lots to get done.

Why not ride the Roller Coaster? It starts on the mountain!
Yeah I checked it out! It’s great.

Oh, no, GoW4 added it everywhere. It was originally only on Horde and Campaign but they added it to versus multiplayer first on casual playlists then eventually on competitive playlists. Basically they tested the waters to see if there was a significant difference between players on mouse/keyboard and players on controller and they actually found there wasn't a significant enough difference to keep the two separated. Plus, if I remember right, only something like 30% of PC players even used M/K. Gears works really well on controller.

Masked characters don't actually see ****, they get full on blind with those masks on. It's not practical in any way, shape or form but they live for the aesthetic so they do what they gotta do. Lucina bumped into at least ten different trees when following Chrom around before Chapter 6.

That’s dark as crap, but sounds really intense. With that in mind, the music defidently gives off the right vibe.

So Australia's rating board kind of leaked the fact that a Castlevania Anniversary Collection exists, and that it's multiplat.

I have Sonic Mania in my Steam Library because it has a really good sale, and I had a few bucks left over on my Steam account. Haven’t really touched it though. Do you all reccomend it.

One time I saw a guy spreading torrent that was 85 GB of different fonts in a 32 GB archive. There were over 1.5 million fonts in there. I was too cowardly to download it. Unrelated, but this has been haunting me ever since I saw it and I need to get it off my chest.

Fire Emblem games have never been the best in terms of overall plot. They're usually generic or not that well written. But they know how to create impactful moments through minor gameplay and aesthetic changes to add extra oomph.

When I recently replayed Fates: Revelation, I found the part where you're hoping for help from either of your brothers to win a fight you can't possibly win alone, then one of them shows up right in the nick of time and you beat the chapter-- only to be thrown directly into the next chapter against a relentless enemy without any break to restock or revisit your home base. Then your other brother comes, again, right in the nick of time. It was a good way of illustrating that you really were fighting a battle you couldn't win within the confines of a game that, by design, has to be winnable.
