So today's the 1st anniversary of Ultimate's reveal! Now that was crazy hype right there! Gotta love how people were already discussing likeliest newcomers and who would be cut within hours.

Just give him different guns or melee weapons or something.

They made the Winter Soldier distinct from Ghris in MvCI even though they're both soldiers that rely on guns a lot.

That’s because westerners are edgy.

Meanwhile in Japan their names are simply based on species of squid; Aori (Callie) is based on "Aori-ika": Bigfin reef squid, and Hotaru (Marie) is based on "Hotaru-ika": Firefly squid.

In retrospect, it's really interesting to look back on those days and see how the roster turned out. If you told anyone that we'd be getting along with and everyone else returning most would've thought you were crazy. It made for a pretty fun ride in terms of speculation.

Personally, I'm excited to see what they reveal regarding Granblue Fantasy Versus. Especially, since this game is supposed to come out this year and we literally only have the initial reveal trailer and 5 characters revealed.
