I wouldn't complain. DQ is big and we really don't have much knight type characters in Smash. He could be interesting.

I would love for him to be included- he's not the next DLC character.

I love Dragon Quest, and I am glad to see the series in Smash.

I'm just disinterested at the moment. I'll need to see him in action to really care. As of now I've never played any Dragon Quest, and I can't really get into the music. So I'm just meh about him.

I gladly welcome Erdrick.

He has all the credentials for a third party character, and it'll be nice to have the ENIX side of SQUARE ENIX be represented in some way

I have no strong feelings one way or the other. Could probably say that about most of the speculated characters really.

Nah, it sounds like Erdick is likely so I won't doom myself... though I actually think Nintendo will pull a fast one on us...

Quite frankly, I don't give a rip about Erdrick or his series, but it wouldn't do me much good to complain if/when he gets revealed.

If he is actually a DLC character, I figure he would almost certainly be either the second revealed (so, the next one), or the fourth or fifth revealed (either in August or October, by my measure).

In other words, I don't think they would be the one revealed at E3 if they are indeed a Fighter Pack character.

Actual 2002 story to share:

Resident Evil had come out and my friend and I were twelve years old. Obviously neither of our parents would let us play it. But when his mom dropped us off at the mall to hang out for awhile, we found a used copy at Gamestop and wanted to go halfsies on it. Unfortunately, that was about the time that they started enforcing an age limit on mature-rated games, and we weren't actually allowed to buy it without an adult present.

But the creepy Gamestop guy-- a nerd stereotype with a bald spot and a ponytail down to his ***-- leaned over the counter and said he'd let us buy it, but told us we should "hide it where you hide your porn" so he wouldn't get in trouble for it. In retrospect, that guy was ****ing creepy.

Anyway, we sneaked it home under my coat, went to bed early, and played it on his tiny CRT TV in the dark in his bedroom trading off. We died a bunch, barely got far in the game at all and turned it off because after watching Jill get impaled we were too scared to keep going.

Good memories.

Didn't play it until the following year, though. And the first time I played it, I had a legitimately traumatic experience.

For some reason, I still got the game later.
