I’m telling you, i’m not lying. I was suspicious of it, so considering I have all three consoles I figured I would check.

It’s a page for Women’s History Month, so there’s no need to use Pokémon unless they used Leaf. These are more obviously female (not up to discretion or debate) characters, so it totally makes sense.

We’ll have to keep an eye out on the future to see if bigger characters show up.

Huh so Nintendo may have just lended them renders to use for some reason, but with all the Microsoft streaming stuff to Switch rumors it's probably a sign of them getting closer as companies

Ok so I don't think people should be jumping to conclusions about Banjo or Steve in Smash specifically

They were probably more like "hey we're friends now give us some renders so we can do something fun"

Still though by virtue of this being emblematic of getting closer as companies it sure does help Banjo/Steve at least a little bit

After all of the users arguments, I was kinda in the middle. Could’ve gone this way or that way. I wasn’t too sure, so don’t say I was correct. Also, I found it on my Xbox.

Also I really don’t think this means anything for Smash. It is probably something not related.

what gets me is one of the images with all black characters, one of them is Sazh from Final Fantasy XIII. Why use a character from a now 10 year old game? You'd think they'd use more recent characters

I get that but usually you can tell when something's good or not when you watch videos on it, the most notable thing so far on the BK LP (which admittedly isn't all too far) is the odd choice of enemies but even then, other games have shown me in less time that they're special so why isn't this classic doing it? That's how I'm feeling

They look like fun collectathons but TBH I never understood some of the hype myself.

Also, Splatoon stuff being on the Xbox Dashboard just tells me Microsoft has the best taste.

I'm not even thinking about Smash characters, I'm just excited at the possibility of playing the Xbox exclusives I like on Switch.

I guess I can kind of understand that, but TBH this'll have to be a to each their own situation. I personally don't feel like I was misled at all during that sequence, I simply thought they were showing an ingame cutscene for the opening, not necessarily what gameplay was going to look like.

I feel like LA Remake's style updates and transitions the sprites of the original into 3D super well.

I fundamentally agree that the game looks good, but I also think that at least the initial reactions are understandable to the trailer. I was personally confused at worst, but I'm pretty much over it now.

That said, it's also perfectly reasonable to not like the visual style to begin with.
Kind of like how Arlo iterates it: if visuals are so important to a person and it ruins the game for them that they won't buy it to begin with, that is more than fair. It is not whining, just an opinion.

It only becomes a problem if they force that opinion on others that they need to have the same opinion as them.

If you watch it now it looks like "a platformer" with nothing special.
