I have started playing the Mortal Kombat series since the year started.
Although I only have X at the moment, I am loving it a lot.

BK as a game series isn’t super special, it’s just a duology of pretty good games. I think the writing and the whole Microsoft thing is why it’s so fondly remembered. It had a sense of humour and charming characters to make it memorable to a young audience (although the quality of the writing itself is obviously debatable). The fact that Microsoft bought Rare and we didn’t see another main BK game again is what I think really cemented it, cause it’s an interesting story. That’s just my take.
It's just that when people kept aggressively talking about how amazing Banjo Kazooie was, ESPECIALLY during the Grinch fiasco, you get the impression it's something like idk, Mario World, SotN, Pokemon and many more highly praised games

As someone who loves Crash Team Racing over almost every Mario Kart, I have to admit that Diddy Kong Racing is as good or even better than it.

I always heard great things about Banjo-Kazooie, but I never got to play it. Now that I have, I can confidently say it's my favorite N64 game. It's held up both mechanically and visually better than any other N64 game I've seen. I find it really fun, but collectathons are obviously not for everyone. I can't wait to try Tooie and Nuts & Bolts, as those are also great games.

Also I was born one week before the original came out. I just think that's cool. :p

I think the fact that we’re probably not gonna be getting a new Banjo game anytime soon and we’re pretty much just stuck with the original two has a hand in that. You tend to appreciate something more if you know it’s not coming back.

Are you going to main Johnny Cage in MKXI like me?

Would be cool.
It's either gonna be Johnny or Geras, and if not either of those
it'll be Kotal, Mileena, or The Kollector. I'll see what happens when I actually get my hands on the game
Well, that explains Geno's out of nowhere fan demand
It's not exactly out of nowhere, people have been asking for him since at least Brawl. Now that Ridley and K. Rool are here and Isaac is an assist, there's not many other long-speculated characters to root for.

muh operation starfall tho, smrpg2 is guaranteed
Well, wanting old characters in Smash to market their games is a noble cause because they are not new characters added in Smash to market their games.
