Really hope tomorrow's Pokémon Direct is convincing, I've felt pretty down on the series' direction for a while now, and I desperately hope they can fulfill the expectations they created when they said Gen 8 will be for the veteran players. Not that I'm expecting a super hardcore experience or anything like that, but just something that'll breathe some much needed life into what is in my eyes a very stagnant series, one or two tweaks to the formular and another Mega Evo/Z-Move-esque mechanic won't cut it this time imo. I'm not all that interested in things like Pokémon designs and what the region is based on before they win me over on the gameplay side of things.
