While they're neat characters, I'd rather see another company get a crack at a DLC character before Sega gets their 4th.
Oh. Are they actually a Sega property? I thought they were completely separate, just associated with Sega so often.

I'm hoping the rumors of female 'alts' for "brave" is the return of Rex/Pyra/Mythra. A character that just missed the timing for the main game has to have some consideration as DLC.

:ultridley:- Villian meant to envoke fear compared to :ultsamus: rounded friendly armor.

:ultgreninja:- Notice that huge pink thing there. on top of having big blobby thighs and bubbles on its appendages.

wild west america hit Black Mage hard it seems
"In order to survive the Wild West, I have to own a gun... I have to know the gun, feel the gun, live the gun... I have to BE THE GUN!"

Oh yeah, to explain why I chose to include BeelStarrmon instead of Beelzebumon in those three images, it's because MagnaKidmon (the middle one) and BeelStarrmon are both named after American outlaws (Billy the Kid and Belle Starr).

People will say MKWii was broken due to bikes and Funkies/Daisies but damn it that's what made it fun online. At 8500+ VR you got the best of the best (and hackers) and it was very competitive and fun. And if you won using an unusual character (I used Rosalina) the victory became ever so sweeter.

The items selection was rather solid too. It made the game pop more.

I had 9600 VR in MKWii and played for countless hours. I barely touched MK8 in comparison.
Out of all of the games in the series, Wii is my favorite...
Imo, it was the most fun out of all of the games to play offline and online (even moreso than 8), had an amazing soundtrack, and possibly, the best track selection in the entire series. Mushroom Gorge, Coconut Mall, Maple Treeway, and Moonview Highway all rank high in my top ten favorite Mario Kart tracks of all time

What if there was a cowboy Pokemon?
I wonder if the Grass starter will be the 'one on top' in a gen?

So far this hasn't happened really, subjectively perhaps but its never been factually true.
Probably because no matter what you pair it with, Grass is a very hard type to have 'come out on top'.

The main problem is that Grass has so many weaknesses and few resistances so pairing it makes it hard. It's naturally weak to Fire, Ice, Poison, Bug, and Flying. The only resistances are Water, Grass, and Ground. With 5 Weaknesses, there's a lot of other types that, when paired with, end up cancelling out just one of their weaknesses while adding others or magnifying a weakness. For example, Grass/Flying cancels out the Bug weakness, but then gives it a Rock & Electric weakness. Grass/Bug cancels out Poison, but makes it double weak to Fire AND Flying, plus a new weakness to Rocks.

There's really only two combinations you can use so that it's not just an easy KO every time:
Grass/Rock- (Becomes weak to Fighting & Steel while keeping the Ice weakness while every other for both types is neutralized)
Grass/Steel- (Becomes weak to Fighting and double weak to Fire, but neutralizes other weaknesses while enhancing resistances)

Basically, if you want the new Grass type starter to really see use and be the 'best starter' this Gen, you'll probably want Grass/Rock; the only other we have right now is from Gen 3 and is just a Wall, so there's plenty of room to make another good one. Grass/Steel meanwhile has a few others that it would have to compete with. Nothing stopping Gamefreak from making another Grass/Steel of course, but Grass/Rock would be the way to go.

Oh my gosh, I just realized. Brave:
  • is about the same height as Ness or Lucas.
  • Glides a little bit when turning.
  • Floats a little bit after jumping.
  • And, there's reportedly some female alts of some kind.
The evidence for Chocobo is really piling up!

Rex isn't happening. The Mii costume is your consolation prize, per the words of Sakurai
Please don’t hate me but....this is who I think brave is

I agree also abilties have the power to make typing a non-issue

For example let's say we a Grass/Rock fellow who was a gunslinger that instinctively dodge things that resembled gun fire, like a fast fist or a metal appendage. making it immune to Steel and Fighting.

You know what? I’m on board with the Choboco.

Even though Nintendo’s picking the characters, the idea of it just reeks Sakurai pick so he’d greenlight it in a heartbeat.

A giant troll move to all the Sora/Geno/Crono/Sephiroth/Erdrick debates.

The Piranha Plant of Square Enix.

I wouldn’t even be mad. We could use more birbs.

True. Plus some can get really awesome types like 'Steelworker' giving them a 3rd STAB. Hopefully they utilize that concept a bit more this gen; we could essentially have 3 type pokemon (I wouldn't recommend actually doing triple typed Pokemon though...that would make things ridiculous).

EDIT: You would have to wait awhile for the abilities to have an effect though, since every starter always starts with the Overgrow, Blaze, and Torrent abilities. By the time that the alternate abilities for Starters were out, the Grass Starter may have already been overlooked and not promoted as much as you would hope. it needs to be able to stand a fair amount on its own without the ability for a bit (relying on typing and movepool to distinguish itself).

Chocobo, Minecraft Steve and Sans Undertale are the next three dlc characters revealed.

Your reaction?
Steve would make me wicked hype, Chocobo would be a fun surprise, and Sans would be the best troll charterer for online

If you're going the route of Chocobo, at least have Slime riding atop it so you have both Final Fantasy and DQ represented. Otherwise I'd prefer a character over a mascot lol.

Steve- “**** no”

Sans-....”I’m out.”

I have said this before, and I will say this again. Tetris is the retro character that needs a rep first. There is no character more iconic, no game that sold more copies, and no characters with as many unique movesets than Tetris blocks.
I'm still waiting for the ship from Galaga and the Square from Adventure.

I had a dream last night where Joe and Mac (from the SNES game of the same name) were an Ice Climbers echo
I want to go back to sleep
