Whether it's whining about the Fantastic Four not being seen in Ultimate Alliance 3 yet or gushing about this game, you are obsessive to the point people groan whenever you bring the subjects up.

You Banjo fans have it lucky... Not many people have the guts to mock your character... Y'all are one of the biggest groups, out there.

But us Steve fans? It's a whole 'nother story...

We're very few and far between, so we get picked on, like a lot.
I'll always leave a simple comment on Youtube, like "I personally think Steve would be a great Smash character", then I'll always get some nasty replies like "LOL YOU WANT STEVE?! BANJO KAZOOIE DESERVE IT MORE". It annoys me, every time. Then there's also the Steve support thread, where obnoxious trolls come in, saying "LOL MINECRAFT IS STUPID" .

Stuff like this, is basically a daily routine.

I've probably felt way more pain in supporting a character I love, than you have, by a long shot...

It is okay to dislike Minecraft, but you do not have to be so toxic about it.

Honestly, I think the issue is trying to one-up each other with who is "mocked more". Reality is, anybody being mocked for liking a character or series is just a bad thing to have.

It sucks Banjo fans are mocked. It sucks Steve fans are mocked. The war itself sucks when there's no reason for it. There's a difference between acknowledging that Steve getting it instead of Banjo is a possibility, and obviously fans aren't going to like that. But in a sense, it's a competition. That's understandable. What's not is turning into some dumb and unnecessary war with tons of bashing. There's no reason the bashing needs to exist.

And nobody is saying one should like a game anyway either. Why would you have to? You can still like a series or acknowledge its importance without enjoying the game. I can't stand rhythm gameplay. It's why I have no intention of playing Undertale. It's not a gameplay style I can work with. I still respect the series and actually love the LP's of it. It has amazing writing. Gameplay is obviously a very important thing to a game, but it's not the only reason to like a game. And so on.

...Also, please stop posting the creepy Steve render. It's not helping and annoys a lot of people. It's definitely not going to make someone chill out either.

Exactly. The problem today is that Steve fans are mostly mocking Banjo fans, while the viceversa is happening. This has been happening after that Minecraft rumor that Vergeben said.

Seriously, let's all cool down now. We didn't come here to talk at each other's throat. I think it's very important to acknowledge the will or the wish of someone wanting the opposite of what you want (Wanting Steve in game, and you're a Banjo fan. Just a example), and it's important to respect their wishes, instead of being all toxic about it.

I might not like Minecraft at all, but it's not a reason to hate Steve fans. Can we just please stop this 'Banjo VS Steve' war, and go back to the usual discussion?

It is true that people bash Minecraft and Steve too much.

I firmly believe that any character deserves a spot in Smash, as strange as it may be for some.

People shouldn't be bashed or jumped on just for the characters they want in a fighting game, and the Steve vs Banjo wars are an example of how annoying they can get.

Those would not be a thing if the Banjo supporters just stopped getting over anything related to Minecraft and viceversa.

Look, maybe most of you will tell me to **** off with this... But I also lived similar stuff as a Fantastic Four fan.
Most of my life I was mocked by many X-Men fans, claiming that they were trash and getting the mutants shoved in my face everytime I popped on any Marvel talk with good intentions.

They aren't Banjo or Steve, but I lived similar stuff with them and it also sucked in those cases.

And you know what's worse? Steve getting in Smash is actually good news for Banjo, and isn't as bad as the Banjo fanboys make it out to be. Basically, they are mad about going after Steve.

Overall: this war between both sides is stupid, and I'm tired of it.

But in the end... It's not good, or cool, or anything like that at all, to attack someone just because he likes the opposite. It's important to respect wish. Again. There are some inevitable moments where when you present your own post, you have to then defend against peoples trying to attack your agruement or anything. It's really bad when someone harasses you only for your opinion.
