Hellooooo!
:kirby: Hiii!

On top of that, there is all the different music tracks these characters could possibly bring. Assuming each one comes with at least 5 and at max 8, it's hard to imagine a Gen 8 rep or a Three Houses rep being introduced this early when even their music is completely unfamiliar. If reps were added from those two games anyway, expect 1 or 2 tracks at the most. That's just a lousy way to advertise two games when there is potential for so much more in the future if they're so inclined later on. I think all reps in the Fighter's Pass are new enough to a degree that there is room to add more music from those respective franchises. That's what I believe, anyway.
Agreed. I don't really expect DLC to fill franchise quotas for Zelda, Kirby etc.

Before I go to bed, I played the Yoshi demo.

Did everything there was to do in it in about half an hour.

It's a pretty cute and relaxing game; I'd consider buying it if I wasn't saving my money for the Fighters Pass, Fire Emblem: TH and SMM2.

Yoshi is an uncaring, unstoppable engine of hunger. He'll eat you while you're sleeping (he'll eat while you're awake, he eat if you've been bad or good, so run for goodness sake!).

I definitely think that cultural differences means some studios will be better suited for certain projects than others, it's only logical given how different the industry is between the west and Japan, developers will have been influenced in many different ways, and that will naturally lead their design philosophies in different directions. Metroid hasn't been a big success in Japan since Super Metroid, so obviously it won't hold the same weight to some of their youngers developers as it might do for western developers, I don't think it's a coincidence that many of the best modern Metroidvanias have come from the west (Hollow Knight, Ori, even AM2R), so I don't even think it's just the first person part that might have been troubling.

Whether that's the reason Prime 4 went off the rails we obviously don't know though, I was actually pretty excited to see a new take on it personally, but I'll settle for the safe choice in Retro Studios given the circumstances, hopefully they'll be out to prove a point seeing as they weren't handed the franchise again so easily.

You want to open a can of Wurmples with Pokémon canon?

Who came first Mew or Arceus?

I mean if Mew created ALL Pokémon would that include the Pokémon God?
I feel that Arceus basically retconned Mew. The way I see it now is that Arceus created the major legendaries (e.g. the creation trio) while Mew is now only ancestor to regular Pokemon (minus stuff like Porygon) and lesser legendaries.

So the answer to 'what is the first Pokemon' is either Arceus, Bulbasaur or Rhydon, but no longer Mew.

God I wish every single player game had a DLC release plan like The Witcher 3 or Xenoblade 2

This whole "they'll come with multiple music tracks" thing makes me think all Fighter's Pass characters will be from new series, tbh. Not like it's the proof of anything, though, just a feeling.
sakurai why you gotta ignore xenoblade x's ost like this

It was just "Japans can't make first person games, Retro can", not a big loss.
Idk I liked the post, I would've responded to it but I had work to do. NSG put a lot of thoug in that post and it would have been a cool topic to discuss.

Edit: it's something I wouldn't have thought of myself either, so thanks for putting that out NonSpecificGuy NonSpecificGuy !
