Speculation is starting to get boring for me tbh, mostly because there's nothing new to speculate about. If anything, it's only making me more anxious for a reveal.
I just want to know who's the next character and if it's someone I wanted to be in.
Having to wait 2 more months just for a reveal that could probably be a character I don't even care about is just too painful.
I think I'll be coming to this site less frequently. I just don't think it's helping at all.

Sorta, but the difference that with Zelda, they revealed the contents with the announcement, which led them getting dunked on. If they showed a portion of who the DLC fighters will be with the DLC announcement, then the same would most likely happen with Smash.

Something else about Super Mario Maker 2.

They've included Desert (SMB3), Winter (NSMBU), Forest (SMW) and Space (NSMBU) themes.

One can assume they've also included the Night theme from Lost Levels.

I really hope they have the All-Stars versions of Mario Bros. 1 and 3 as possible sets this time.

I literally just bought Dead by Daylight on Steam a few days ago thanks in part to Bill Overbeck's exclusivity. I'm a little disappointed we didn't get a Fatal Frame or an Eternal Darkness survivor as a Switch exclusive character. That'd have been neat.

I couldn’t be stuffed watching the rest of the Direct, so I just looked it up.
Looking forward to update 3.0.

The biggest issue is now people are going to split on the idea of "There's going to be a Smash Direct in April!" "No there isn't!"

I mean, they said "Hey, an unprecedented huge update for Ultimate is coming out this Spring!"

Everyone: "Oh wow, that's awesome! What's in it? Home Run Contest? Online updates? More convenient hazard toggle?"

Direct: "Eh we'll tell you later lol"

So we're getting another Direct, or at least some form of information release, sometime soon. It probably won't be as long as the other Directs, maybe only about 15 minutes to go over the update's features/changes and give a trailer for Joker and whoever's next, but they have to relay that information somehow.
