Last brief reminders:

1. If you are bringing a set up, Please show up promptly at 10:30 AM. This will allow us with 30 minutes to ensure everything is okay with the venue before we let the general public in at 11am.

2. You may have noticed that I have crossed out the previous schedule for the last 36 or so hours. This was because someone was flying in from NYC for this tournament, and needed a ride from one of my judges. The matter was resolved without incident, and so the previous schedule was restored.

3. If you are entering Smash 64, Please bring both a gamecube and a N64 controller. I am lost in the amount of set ups people are going to bring for that tournament, and it is best to be prepared.

4. I will bring two extension cords and surge protectors to the tournament. One set is for my PC which I will be bringing, and the other is for the infamous windowed back wall, which has no electricity in front of the windows. I encourage you to at least bring surge protectors to the event so that we can get electricity for the event.

Remember guys, the amount of sponsorships we can give is parallel to how many t-shirts are bought at the next Fight Club.

We are looking at possibly moving the fight club to the first weekend of September because of a traditional tournament running before the fight club, and having two tournaments in two weeks is not a good thing. More to be posted on Facebook soon.

I dropped a major bombshell earlier by announcing that we would not be sending our winners to WHOBO 5, instead they will be eligible to compete @ APEX at the Fight Club's expense (provided we nail our sponsorship goal!)

while Chandra and I will be gone to Quakecon this weekend, I will not be resting. I will be working on the video highlights from the last Who's Tyler during my techdesk volunteer shift (between solving problems for 2500+ PCs and Macs) on either Friday or Saturday to hopefully export to Youtube before we leave the convention Sunday afternoon. First on the list of things to do is do the low-tiers match between Laberfre ... err Labernash and Denti. I will have access to a fiber backbone connection (100+ megabyte at the minimum) Friday, Saturday, and part of the day on Sunday before teardown. This means that matches will go up usually within 10-15 minutes, if not sooner.

I have a ton of video from my tournament in Ohio. I need to get that uploaded somehow. The replays saved on the Wii are .bin files so I need to figure out how to do that.

There's no way that I can tell short of hooking the Wii up to Icecream's Dazzle and recording from there. The files are basically a timeline of what happens in the match.

Yeah the only way to do it is really via dazzle, and I think there's also a program online for it.

Brawl replays are exactly that, it's actually 2 cpu's inputting exactly what you and you opponent input at the exact frames, so replays are really recreations of matches that the game complies so it works.
Recording it externally is just recording the recreations and Saving it to a computer through a cap card

Cool. Free any time this week?

Also mike, I can't make etfc round 3 on the 7th since I will be judging at a regionals that day. I can do it any other weekend except that one. :/

Not really.
Oh also there's a thread in brawl video/media or whatever forums, called "We record your replays!"

If you follow the directions on the OP there(basically uploading the replay file from sd card to media fire and they record it) they'll put it on YouTube for you, or send it back as a media file you can post to YouTube.

I'll talk it over with Chandra. Of course, I still need to buy the initial stuff for Brawl/P:M, so I dunno. If she and I go to Houston, we'll be staying with her brother and his wife about 40 minutes outside town in Alvin. I'll let you guys know something soon!

Oh, and I graduate college on Friday!

Updated the event page on facebook, now officially confirming we will need at least one complete Melee setup for tourney.

edit: that was quick! Psychoace has our Melee setup covered, now to spread the word :)
