Blast_ssb and rurounteikentaro or whatever both decided to change and they were one of the only ones who voted for the 5$ fee, so basically EVERYONE who goes go the biweekly has voted for 40 %, :)

Yeah, I voted for the 40% idea too. Many because of the fact I won't be winning anything ^_^

You people hoping to save money need to think about it a little more. Unless your planning on not eating youd be spending at least $5 on food anyways and youd be saving yourself time and gas. So the $5 house fee is actually the cheaper option in the end.

yea can someone clear that up, does paying the 5 dollar house fee mean free food? does the 40% out of the pot go towards the free food, or is that just for marcel's mom? and how much free food?

The poll should say "Pay $5 at the door" or "Take ~40% from M2k"

In all seriousness, perhaps its best to use both angles. Cutting 40% out of the pot is quite a bit. But losing 15$(plus gas) for a bi-weekly(teams and singles) is kinda a lot for some people.

Why not do 2$ at the door, and 25% from the pot. Or some variation of this.

Adding onto what JFox suggested:

How about 30% from the pot and $2 or $3 to get a sticker/wristband or something that allows you to eat the food?

Using the same 32 person example from before that had $160 collected from the $5 door fee, this works out to around $140-185 collected depending on how many decide to get food, and is quite reasonable on both ends while still covering more for food costs.

^^ Actually, this is almost exactly what dmbrandon suggested earlier. It works out very well imo and beats both those options for pretty much everyone.

If I ate it would be at the Burger King 2 seconds from the biweekly and spend $3.21 on 2 Whopper Jr's and a small drink. So in the end, it's cheaper to not do the $5 at the door.

do the unranked tourney lol f*ck u power rankin losers lol
It's not fair to the ranked people that want to move up on the list, or just compete normally period.

And Eggm brought up a very valid point: Unranked people like Treble and Atomsk can't get ranked by ****** an unranked tournament, and they are just as good as, if not better than, some of the ranked people already.

Eggm's logic won me over, so I'm not in favour of the unranked tournament anymore.

Inui just shut the hell up. You don't even deserve the 3rd spot. The power rankings are your ****ing porn. You are 3rd due to a technicality. Nothing more. You didn't earn it. Stop talking as if you did. ****.

Sneak and to the others that supported my idea: Sorry. I'm pissed right now. I said it before and I'll say it again. This is why I didn't want the bi-weeklies to be taken so seriously. Now would have been a good chance to mess around a little bit with different ideas. But these *******s that take this **** game so ****ing seriously gotta **** on my idea even though I'm the one giving the bi-weekly a home in the first ****in place.

Fine. **** all of you power ranking loving, I-got-something-to-prove-and-I-need to-validate-my-self-worth-by-increasing-my-rank mother****ers.

Andrew: I use your real name so everyone knows I'm ****ing serious. Don't ever ask me to run the bi-weekly again. I WON'T DO IT!

You're an idiot. It has nothing to do with my ranking, and I darn well deserve it given my tournament records. They're better than those below me, period.

But, again, it has nothing to do with me. How can I possibly move up, Marcel? I can't because of who's above me. If you had any logic at all, you would have noticed this and not made such a ******** post towards me.

Nobody sh*t on your ideas. We considered it. I even was in favour of it. But I found Eggm's logic to be superior, and changed my mind. Don't take things so personally.

Don't come online and post if you're all pissy. It just makes you look like a moron.

Umm. No it doesn't make me look like a moron actually. It makes me look like a guy that wants to do something he thinks is good for the community, but sees all these selfish detracters, you being the most idiotic of them all.

Don't call me a moron and not be able to back it up IRL,ok. Don't come to me next time you see me and act like this didn't happen. I wouldn't be surprised if you were suddenly sucking my **** next saturday, you two faced worm.

Did I ever say you were trying to increase your rank.? No. I made a blanket statement overall. You personally would be trying to protect your rank. Which won't be possible the way your playing BTW. Next time don't jump to conclusions, it makes you look like a bigger moron then you already are.

Seems like I struck a nerve wih my last post though. don't tell me you are so pathetic that the power rankings really are your porn? rofl. It's called Hustler, Lucas. Get with it. Well, actually in your case, wouldn't it be Playgirl?

Whatever. I'm done with you.

You're overreacting. Go to sleep or something.

Eggm already showed how your idea isn't as beneficial as you think, and you apparently missed it.

Even going by the three biweeklies, me > everyone below me in placings. I don't need the past to justify my rank. The other two panelists put me at third on their lists. In fact, I originally had Reik above me. WoZ was the first of the three of us to put me pretty high. And, well, the tourny placings back it. I place higher.

I do agree that LK and Reik have a bit more skill than me, but Reik chokes and LK sandbags, so they < me in placings almost every time.

Shall we not dive into who deserves a spot or not? The panelists can handle that when the time comes. You guys really do take these matters too personal. On another note, let us step back and look at things.

The number of people to show up at the bi-weekly would remain the same regardless. Technically, you guys would be able to split the entire group into 2, the ranked and the unranked. Split up the number of set ups accordingly. We really could have both Ranked and Unranked tourney go on at the same time. The only thing is we would need major cooperation from all. All in all it should take about the same amount of time though. Why couldn't we experiment?

This way, people such as Eggm, who are understandingly concerned about not having competed in singles in a while, get to do so. Not only this you guys can by-pass some of the useless matches and get straight to the competition.

More importantly, even if this does not go through, you guys have to relax. And do not go pointing any fingers. Just, relax folks.

Oorah-Kabra signing out.

This is unfortunately, true so far Eggm. I took an average of the placings of all the in state people who placed above Inui at biweeklies(not including M2K) and...

4 2/3: Inui
5 1/2: Reik
5 2/3: WoZ
6 2/3: teh_spamerer
6 2/3: Eggm

@EL - I don't really care about the power rankings. How can I take them seriously when it says "3. Inui"? Even if the unranked people don't care about getting on to the power rankings, there ALWAYS will be people who "just didn't make the list" and will **** the unranked tournament. That makes Inui's logic of "lol Atomsk Treble etc." will **** the unranked tournament bad logic because if it's not them then it will be someone else. All the unranked players aren't even, far from it. These are the only two reasons I want to play singles

1) I haven't played non Low Tier singles since February 17th
2) Pray Inui has to play LK and lose in Icies vs Ganon early on in the bracket by having a death pool and then immediately get 3 stocked by EMBLEM LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORD both matches in losers so I can laugh at his placing and say "***** HOW'S IT FEEL NOT GETTING A LUCKY BRACKET?"

i haven't been on in a few days but i wanna say... wtf inui i was just naming names of people who are on the higher end u could have said i left people out i agree that treble and bass are very good and definately have chance of getting into the rankings very soon, i've never seen atomsk play so i don't know how good he is therefore i would not have named him which i think makes sense... please try to be less of an *** hole and people won't treat you like one

On the basis of the bi-weekly... this event was created by the members of TSA in order to better assist the community to becoming a stronger state all in all and make the competition better by bringing all the players to a higher level. I myself don't care whether we have the unranked tourny or not especially since it seems to have so many people so up in arms. but i think you guys need to be respecting EL and what hes trying to do here. if you guys really want the money that badly go to a gamecrazy this weekend and beat up on all the 9 year olds there and steal their money or make your tournament next week and do it however you want. but at the TSA biweekly i think we need to make the most important reason for being there, getting better as a whole.

While that is true spammer, LK myself reik and other players have all improved, and not gotten the chance to play in singles to place above inui for quite sometime, also inui does it by getitng lucky brackets an stuff like that he has no real skill that is all.

Look at it collectively. The way Inui looks at it makes him look terrific everything goes by his logic and how he wants it to cause no one has it in them to argue with him.. I just don't like the way he makes smash seem like political and stuff. Ugh.

In any case NOOOO do not switch unranked for teams.. teaming with reik is like.. my favorite thing lol fox/falco is such a fun team, I didn't get to team with him since cataclsym and i was throwing up D: and doubles are too much fun I want to get owned by team gimp again! If we have unranked we should do it at the same time as ranked singles and split the tv's evenly.

1. fine but the biweekly isn't the only basis for the rankings
2. inui is not going to dethrone himself already (i say dethrone himself because he is in control of the rankings and we all know that)
3. you guys know who you are better than and you know who you can beat. and like i said before host your own tourny and have singles EL sticks his neck out every week for us the least we can do is support his idea.
4. even if u got ur singles this week and got to play these people if someone lost u would hear johns of oh i was playing bad and also if EL tried to do this again next week biweekly there would just be complaining again that peoples ranks aren't gonna change.
5. trying having fun... its a game u know

(btw this is not an attack at any 1 person just at all the people who have been complaining about this)

I didn't even think about it that way legendary but your completely right. xD Biweekly # 1 I lost to m2k and reik VERY early in the brackets and inui got 3 by's and beat 2 easy people got like 4th or something.. no johns tho. xD In any case yeah lengedary anything anyone does that could make them even slightly better than him or anyone else he has automatic he wan'st playing well that day he got lucky the other guy doesn't even try (sometimes he says this even about tournament matches) Or anything else.. Lol.. ya.. Inui's political/gayness defense and skill is more impenetrable than the Spartans defense was in 300 D:, Hes too good >< Even still I love singles and would really like to participate in a singles tournament eventually.. D:

Also Inui why i try and act cool to you in person and on aim is because I'm a really nice guy, I really do dislike you A LOT tho epically what you do to the smash community. You are the first smasher to ever introduce to me to the terms "johns" "sandbagging", I thank you for that w/o moving here and playing at that first smashfest at LK's with you I would never have known these terms. xD I've also never had some one stand behind me and tell me repeatdly i have no skill and that my teamate is my whole team and things of that nature. Just try and.. be a little less like Inui for EVERYONES's sake a little please?.. thanks.

Btw you treated me the same way at otakon, I wasn't a "big name" and you had said stuff in line like.. theres no way you can win" and "well lets see how good you are" playing me off like a random newb cause I didn't have a name at the time. Also you and your "smashboards buddies" hogged that one TV making everyone wait in a big line to play you guys like you guys were some elite amazing people, This doesn't really mean anything it was a stupid laggy TV tourny @ an anime convention but I didn't realize to now that you treated me exactly like you did then now.... D:

The core of the problem is you can't stand that random people can be better than people who have established " a name" Everything you do and the problem peoplehave you from stems fromt his and the fact that you base every thing off history and political type stuff via smashboards and tournaments.

....Reminds me of a biweekly when my partner Hazzy and I had to face Spam and Magus in losers doubles and I could hear Inui in the background saying "don't worry, they're easy, loser's bracket blah blah blah next opponents Reik Eggm, blah blah". That pissed me the hell off

If only Inui had known my team sent them to losers in the first place, but hey, I'm practically a know name so I expected Inui to say such.

Guys... Not to defend anyone, but I believe we have done enough bashing. Right or wrong, enough is enough. I hate to come on this board and see nothing but who hates who, or who doesn't deserve this. You really are ruining things. This is childish behavior.

What happened to the awesome atmosphere there was after the very first bi-weekly I went to? This is rapidly deteriorating and turning into a grammar school playground of name calling with statistics. I know I'm new and have no say, but come on folks... Can someone with higher authority say something? Perhaps then you guys can chill out a tad.

It seems my last two posts have unleashed alot of resentment from people concerning Inui and how he treats the smash community.

I won't lie. I made those posts out of anger. I probably shouldn't have and it wasn't my intention to offend Lucas. That said I don't recant anything that I said. When I get angry I only speak the truth, regardless of how hurtful or offensive someone might find it.

Here is my thing about you Lucas. You have the third spot. But in my mind that spot belongs to someone who would crush you. Someone who I'm good friends with. That person being Alexander Schneider a.k.a Zanguzen. So when I see your name where his name should be, I get a little upset. But then when you say you deserve it, that's all I can stand. You haven't earned it, and you don't have the skill for it. I try really hard not to dislike anyone. But then people like you come around, and make the game political instead of just looking out for the community and it fills my belly with disgust.

I don't care anymore. The people have spoken. My idea has been trashed and I think any hope I had for the community has been trashed too. I been doing alot of thinking lately and it seems that guys like me are becoming obsolete. There just doesn't seem to be anymore room for a guy that just wants to do right by his community.

So I guess guys like Inui win. It's all about politics and getting ahead and staying on top.
