i am going to genesis might fly id i get a job soon. if not i wanna take the smash bus. if i do fly it would be either from newark or jfk. I might carpool with pheonix era tho. that would be hella fun

I'm wanting to go to this SO bad... I've actually been thinking ahead and saving up. It'd be awesome to make a vacation out of this (not just attend the tournament but hit up some other locales over there as well).
It's gonna be pricey, but OH SO worth it!

2nd thought. Pay $260 and fly to Oakland which is like a lot closer to the venue, I think.
Assuming I have cash after my house payments (and my ******** speeding ticket from NC), I can probably front the cash for myself, Mogwai, Scar, Cactuar, and M2K, and you guys an pay me back.

i can have the money in cash for me. we only have to pay for the flights now right? idk if i can also pay ahead of time for the hotel right now, but the flight shoudlnt be a problem. give me a couple days notice though so i can clear stuff up with my parents and then withdraw the money from my bank, etc.
i also like southwest. they have a policy for some reason you can't fly out on the time u reserved, there is no fee for switching to a different flight and stuff.
i checked southwest and found...
$260.60 for round trip
philly to sfo
flight 776 on the way there (leave at 8:05am)
flight 2265 on the way back (leave at noon)
$267.60 for round trip

flight 722 on the way there (leave at 7am)
flight 400 on the way back (leave at 12:45pm)
however we gotta remember that airline stuff always changes. as it is i did the search twice (about 5-10 min difference in time) and found different options. the price seems to always be around that 260 mark though.
either airport works, since public trans is available from both. they say using the bart (their metro) is a bit trickier from oak since u need a shuttle bus first and then transfer once, and a bart station is underneath sfo. sfo though is furhter distance wise from the venue which kind of confuses me. we might wanna talk to someone from the area to make sure they are right about all that.

on the other hand, oakland is closer (fewer stops), but you need to make a transfer or two (i don't know, i've never taken BART to/from oakland)

come home sunday night
...so if anyone needs 'housing' from me, it would be thursday night and/or sunday night
I don't drive a van or anything; i can fit 6 people (including me) from the airport (since it's a short drive), but not to the venue (it's about an hour)
my place can probably fit 8-10 people, assuming you keep the noise level down (i've had multiple complaints against me =\) and don't touch the phone books (hyuga is banned from my apartment complex for ripping them in half LOL)
I live 10-15 mins from the airport (and consequently, BART), so if more than 4-5 people need to stay here, i can make multiple trips there to take the people who won't be able to fit in my car all the way to the venue. I would even consider making multiple venue trips if people are willing to get up at 6 AM, because I have 2 TVs I might bring to the tournament, which obv wouldn't fit in a full car. Also, I usually drive the other locals (I won't for this), so I'm unsure of what kind of cars they have // how many people THEY can drive if needed, but if there's demand, I could look into it
I'm already taking Friday off (for the tournament, duh). I'm willing to take Thursday and/or Monday off too if people want to hang out, see the city, need a ride in the middle of the day, etc.

I like the idea of Minibosses hangin' with Pocky on Thursday, getting a minibosses room at a close hotel for Friday + Saturday, then crash at Pocky's again on Sunday and then peace out Monday morning or w/e makes sense based on flight prices, though I guess I could be talked into chillin' on Monday too.
