I agree that it would be stupid to immediately lynch smashman. Obviously, it's preferable to wait and hope a better option comes up. Right now, however, smashman seems like the best choice.

Furthermore, I don't see how it's scummy to back up your vote with some kind of reasoning when everybody else is simply making wild guesses. I could see a mafia member doing it, but I could just as well see a townie doing it. I don't really see it as any reason to point fingers, even if I was experienced at mafia games. I also don't see any purpose behind the random votes coming from everybody else - a vote or two without any reasoning behind it isn't going to cause any kind of worthwhile reaction.

Of course, my vote for smashman didn't cause any kind of worthwhile reaction either.

For now, I'm sticking to my vote. I'm not really expecting anybody else to vote for smashman right now, and would be disappointed if he got lynched anytime soon. We definitely need to deliberate more; I'm simply presenting smashman as a viable option if nobody suspicious turns up.

yea...here in smashboards day 1's consist of votes which mean absolutely nothing...but this is some of the best discussion i have seen in a while for smashboards for day 1's this early into the day

and fos: chill for doing the same thing as mediocre even after we shot it down...bandwaggonning is what that looks like to me...

Also, I'm suspicious of the sudden bandwagon on mediocre. Mainly Blazer, who jumped on board late game with a shallow reason, missing everyones point and not even taking the time to address what Mediocre had said.

No that's not what I mean. When we first started playing frozenflame was like 'let's lynch the stupid people'. No one else wanted to because anyone can hold a helpful role ,as was the case with Zman who was the doctor.

He ended up quitting the game by telling everyone he was mafia so that might be a bad example but that's what I was talking about. I was just making drawing non existant lines between what you said and the trend of frozen nearly always dying on the first night.

Man, everyone is acting all scummy. I can hardly get a good read. I understand most of the arguments, but I don't think bandwagoning on someone is a good idea just yet. Especially not based on how they played in another game. I did vote for mask man because he really is flip-flopping, and bandwagoning and just seems to be mafia to me. I unvoted, but I guess I'll leave it unless Chill does something else suspicious.

None of it was meant that aggressively it just came out wrong. You and I have the most disputes on how things sound ever lol. I guess it can sound really angry but, its goal was to just tell them to not vote for me for voting on what I think seems scummy.

I really don't see what else I was supposed to base a vote on. At that point in the game, it's either based on guesswork or out-of-game experience. I figured any kind of reasoning was better than guessing at random.

About blazer, I don't really see him as very scummy. He voted for me without giving much of a reason, but I thought that the reason was fairly obvious - he thought that my giving a serious vote on smashman at this point was scummy. I disagree, obviously, but I don't think that his vote for me makes any more than a little bit suspicious.

And now people are saying it's scummy of him to get annoyed? Give me a break. Lots of people get annoyed when they're voted on or accused of being mafia. That doesn't make him scummy; it makes him somebody who gets annoyed.
