I don't know about everyone else, but in my Smash community, trash talking is a huge part of the way we play. To be honest, I can't imagine playing Smash without hearing and/or talking smack.

Here's some (favorite) examples of my trash talkin':

"Open your legs, I'm coming in!"
"It's like you just bent over and invited me in!"
"You know there's a sheild button, right?"

Then there's character specific trash:

Dedede:
"Stop... HAMMER TIME!"
"A fat-*** penguin just sat on you to death. How does that make you feel?"
"I just want you inside me!" (followed by a B)

Yoshi:
"Flutterkick SPIKE! Flutterkick SPIKE!!!"

How do you trash talk?

Nice location. =P

I really don't trash talk, except for stuff like Dedede's swallow. (Get in my belly!)....(that's not even trash talk though D=)

I do grunt everytime I throw someone with DK though. >.>

I play with people that do this kind of "trash talking" all the time.

I hate all of them.

Seriously, I don't mind talking in the middle of a match, but be funny about it. If you can't do that, at least be original.

Trash talking really is for low-class ametaur scrubs who only whine when they lose, as for me, nah.
okay, so i was fibbing as bit, I do trash talk, just not when i'm at a major tourney, so i'll be respected.

I can't bring myself to be vulgar really, let alone talk much at all. I'm always very focused when playing Smash Bros, let alone any multiplayer game, finding myself not talking much. I prefer to keep my mouth sealed so not to aggravate my opponent(s) and to keep the match based as solely around the hands [rather than the mouth] as possible.

My friends say some of the lamest crap, like "UBuEr PWonAgE! THAT WAS UBER PWNAGE!" And they are actually serious, then that just pisses me off and then I Dair off the course.

If I ever use DK, whenever I land a charged Giant Punch I always scream, "DONKEY PUNCH!!"

First time I said that was when I was playing Melee at my girlfriend's house...I'm surprised I didn't have her parents come downstairs and kill me for that one xD

I don't trash talk back to my friends when they trash talk, I just simply tell them every single way they sucked that match.

Our club motto for a while seemed to be "Where'd your feet go, 'cause you just got DEFEATEEEED!"

...Only works if you like puns... Which I doesn't.

I make it a point to be extremely well mannered during tourney play. During legit competition, I respect my opponent whether I win or lose.

Friendlies with people I play every day is another matter. Nothing is off limits there, I'll insult your deceased mother, lol.

I don't trash talk at all. Even when I'm destroying someone.

You need to keep a certain level of honor I think.
