People will bring the 64, and the better 64 players will want to play it on the 64, so if they do end up having it on the VC, once the VC players get eliminated, it will probably switch to the 64.

Yes Ill bring it on N64 and if there is alot of players from SWF going then Im sure we will end up over runing any type of vc tournament. Also I will take my laptop so we can record games. Blue Yoshi you should come as I know we will have me , Kefit, M3tr01D, Darth Rancorous, Sudo. And ill do my best to get others there for sure.

Well then, I'm coming as long as nothing comes up on that specific date.
Having re-read a month's worth of posts, I think it would be best attendance-wise to start the tournament on the VC, then when only the true 64 players remain, move it over to the 64. This way, we get more entrants... and in all honesty, I think we can beat them with the GC controller seeing how much more experience we have over them.
Edit: I also hate the idea of smash 64 on the GC controller, but for the sake of more entrants, I would think it would be a good idea.

umm we will have a vote I guess, but I dont think we will get any of the Brawl or Melee players to play even with it being on Vc as this is something that I know me and all my friends + others from here would hate to see and Brawl and Melee players dont like 64 all that much at least at gc. I will let you guys know how this months Gc goes and if 64 is biger due to it being on Vc or if it dies down a bit, my guess it will die down a bit.

Does anyone that is going have a controller adapter that we could pass off in case it ends up on VC? my gamecube skills are non existent, at best. lol

I play melee/brawl/brawl+, so I do use the gamecube controller, but I would much prefer a 64 controller as well.

Yeah both me and Kefit play on p2p hit us up on aim and we can play.
Also at Gc as I was saying the VC part of SSB died down alot, and alot of players there will only play if its on vc, but I wish to host or do a N64 tourney at TP4 due to all the players that are coming from SWF I do know that when talking about this there where some players that where like I dont wanna play if its n64 or whatever but at this point we could do a N64 with the players that are coming and still be fine. Also the Smash fest at Darth Rancorouses will be alot of fun.

I'm pretty sure the long time 64 players will have no problem against the people who have only had the 64 on VC for two months. Hey, if we do it this way, we have a bigger pot moneywise

VENUE UPDATE! ** Reason for move - I had two venues booked, was waiting for totals to come in for all related things and Seattle Center came out to be a better venue all in all. More Food, more room, more central.

If I go (don't know yet, will know closer to the date), I will need to be picked up either at the Victoria/Seattle ferry terminal (the one in Seattle of course), or I can take the bus to make the drive shorter, or I can take the bus the entire way (if possible/necessary).

I should be able to pick you up, just let me know what time and stuff. Also when I talked to a few Vc players they said they dont want anything to do with N64 also they wont play unless they get to play with 3 stock and baning Hyrule Castle lol.

LOL talking to them is like talking to a wall it just does not work, but at most we would lose two players so in the end its not that bad, cause its only two guys makeing a big deal out of this.
Good to know that you can come. And yes will we run this on N64 and let the newbs play it on Wii as I dont care if we lose a few players cause they wanna play dumb rules and everything. Anyway I have others that may show up for just N64 and that could add anywhere from 4-7 players. Also It will be nice to play you on N64 and I know Isai, Kefit will be there for sure as will as Darth Rancorous, and M3tr01D, and maybe even SuPeRbOoM and Blue Yoshi.

SSB* - OK This is how this goes.. TP4 is ONLY running the N64 version as an official event. What the means is that if you run a Wii version, go for it, try it, BUT TP4 events take priority over ANY OTHER SIDE EVENT, meaning they MUST PLAY their TP4 official events first even if it means leaving mid game from a side event, else they will be DQ'd.
