He was my hero as a child. I had so many things that were Dale Earnhardt. My aunt and I loved that guy. It was a childhood tragedy when he died.

Speaking of death, I almost shed tears at work when a customer in drive through told me that some maniac shot at least 25 people at that elementary school up north. I had to hold them back because my job required me to smile while I'm working, but it's just so devastating, I can't comprehend. I said my quick prayer to God at work. I prayed for everyone affected. In this darkest hour, I hope God will be with them.

What happened in CT was incredibly sad. I actually almost shed a tear when one of the worried parents made a comment about how one of the teachers saved their kid's life, and how they said the teacher was their hero for that.

I was in Idaho for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and there was a moment of Silence before the game, execpt Utah State fans wouldnt shut the **** up with their stupid chants.

It's all because of the phrase "Under God". If I remember my American History correctly, it was originally written without "under God", though because the US was founded for religious freedom, by those who happened to be Christian, that influence trickled down into the pledge. Honestly, those who don't believe in God can just choose not to say "under God", they shouldn't, however, be exempt from saying the pledge to this country.

On lighter side, I turned to Fox news and saw they are doing a vigil in honor of those who were killed/affected by the shooting. They said Pres. Obama is there going classroom to classroom talking with parents and other loved ones who were affected by the shooting. I don't agree with him on his politics, but I have no problem giving him credit for making decisions like he's doing now. I feel bad for the guy, what does the leader of a free nation tell his people after something like this happened? You could get political and say you'll ban guns, but what could you possibly say to bring comfort and healing to those who have been devastated by this? It's mind blowing. Just like with anything, we'll pull through, you can make book on that because we're America. We've weathered so many storms and we'll ride out this one.
