Tingle or Waluigi?

Tingle is almost deconfirmed (thank God).

Waluigi has a chance in hell of making it.

There you go... lipstick! Look at his fing lips and then the swirly makeup dimples or wtf they are. This character is so dumb and gay looking it is not funny. Put him on the Japanese version but keep him off the NA version since the Japanese like him so much for some reason.

I hate that idea. I would hate to miss out on a playable character because of some person's close-minded views.

I really don't understand how anyone would enjoy playing as an annoying painting fairy (I'm not really the type to make sexuality jokes but come on, how homoerotic does it have to be?).

Then again, Waluigi doesn't deserve a spot just because Wario got in (he's actually liked to a certain degree these days).

Seriously, I have friends that are gay but I mean tingle is just overreaching it. The character is sissified to the extreme and I just don't see that character in a fighting game, maybe in a mario party type game but not Brawl.

Homoerotic? You can make all the gay jokes about Tingle you want, but I don't know a single gay person who would find Tingle sexually attractive (nor many straight people, for that matter).

For me, this is the bottom line: I dislike Waluigi and I can tolerate Tingle. And I truly think Tingle has a better chance since he actually has a game or two of his own under his belt AND he's actually a part of the canon of his series. Waluigi hasn't appeared in a single "real" Mario or Wario game as far as I know.

Tingle over Waluigi for me. I have a horrible feeling that Waluigi will somehow appear in this game, when I couldn't possibly come up with a moveset for him. What has he done besides appear in party/Mario sports games? Tingle at least has some moves to work with, his balloon, obsession with Rupees, bombs, Tingle Tingle Kaloo-Limpah!. I think Tingle would be a hilarious addition to the roster.

And the haters could beat him up. Why not?

Considering we have NPCs who are playable in Melee and/or Brawl like Zelda, Metaknight, Ganondorf, Bowser, Falco, etc with no one complaining about it, I'm guessing the answer to that question is "yes."

Even under that, the argument could be made that Waluigi is Wario's teammate in the Mario sports games.

(Not saying I would - Waluigi is one of the few Nintendo characters I truly loathe - but just pointing out the facts.)

Oh. I thought you were saying Tingle was hot. Which I would've had to argue with you over.

As far as him not seeming "capable of striking someone", the same could be said for someone like Peach or Yoshi. Even in Smash, they're not exactly good fighters, per say, but they're good characters who are in a fighting game.
