I guess the reason why I'm so reluctant to going to a tournament is because I feel like I'm not too good at the game and that I'll get called a 'scrub' or whatever. But I suppose it doesn't hurt to go to one and I really hope the people there are quite nice. c:
Agreed, it definitely seems like a pretty daunting idea. I feel that it's one of those things where after you do it once a lot of those fears and anxieties get cancelled out by the thrill of the experience, and it gets far easier with each tourney you go to.
I've never been to a tournament before. Idk if there's any reasonably close by and driving to places I've never been to before makes me anxious as ****.
I'd just get wrecked anyway cuz it's not like I'm any good lol

Depends on which part of NJ your in. NJ is actually one the best smash states for Brawl and Smash 4 actually. And everyone gets bopped their first time going to an tourney realistically going 0-2 it's what you learn and what you do afterwards is what happens and if you develop the hunger or not.
Do you take the blue pill and continue your nerdy activities in life as normal.
OR
Do you take the red pill and see how far the smash rabbit hole truly goes.
I was a cocky little brat at 14-15 beating all my friends and anyone who came across my way then after seeing tournament matches online and going to my first tourney in 08 back when Brawl came out going 1-2 and had a bye I was in awe and was salty. I decided to go whenever I can but being in HS and lack of transportation sucks hard. Later on it became a little better.
The explanation for how 2ed gens work is basicially: kids born -> throw them into the hyperbolic time chamber -> recruit all grown up kids a few days later.....
The actual heck? Like... wow, I think Awakening actually handled this so much better
You guys say DBZ Hyperbolic Time Chamber. I say FF4 Land of Summons.
Well, looking at the translation for how stuff works, it sounds a lot more like Land of Summons rather than a Time Chamber.
"The two's bond gradually grew close, they wed, and before long had children. But the formless demons soon attacked the Avatar's castle, clearly targeting the children. Those concerned for the children's safety knew of secluded refuges called 'hikyou' ('秘境,' as NeonZ said, either 'unexplored region' or 'isolated region', I don't feel like thinking of a good translation). Within the star ocean exist many small worlds, including places with people living peacefully. Secluded within these hikyou the children could live in safety until they reached adulthood. However, the flow of time within these hikyou differs greatly from the normal world. In order to protect their children, the parents resolved to part with them for a time and leave them in the care of the managers of these worlds, and so they grew up in the hikyou."
Considering it still has the parents visiting them and even Kanna mentions something about her father coming again, it doesn't sound a lot like "Have babies->throw into dimension->Get adult child." The translation thing sounds more like evil creatures attempting to get their children and putting them into places where they won't get hurt while visiting them from time to time making sure they're safe. Actually, look at this more as opposite Awakening, where evil time travelling demons attempt to stop the chosen children from becoming adults and helping their parents.

I was trying out Robin on Roll Glory and I'm fighting this Link. He throws his boomerang, I run under it and Levin Sword fair him. The boomerang pushes me toward him and I nair him into the blastzone while he's still under the hitstun from fair
