Tier List Speculation

Fox nerfed decently, playstyle 97% intact.

Nerfs were warranted, I think they're not even as drastic as his Usmash nerf from last patch.

When I get my hands on the game later I'll be interested to see how much imperfect multishines have changed.

Also doesn't the aerial angle of 20 mean that Fox can do Shine-Bairs much more easily?

...Welp the biggest issue for IC's got fixed but they are still most likely still worse than a lot of characters. The Luigi nerfs, though I don't think they were needed don't seem too bad, depends on how much they got rid of tornado's vertical height.. But the Fox nerfs are cool tool.

GnW still bleeping, take that turbo nerds.

Wasn't expecting the change to ROB's SideB.

Are footstools better now with 20 frame fail window? It had the Meteor window before right? Does the window apply to UpB unlike meteors?

The footstool input has a 20 frame fail window. Basically you can't mash taunt inputs in the air for free footstools, you have to time it properly.

Well a lot of things changed this patch, espically for the boi king koopa, so it's nearly impossible to know who's the new king of garbage land. I'd have to get a little more handsy with the whole cast, but my gut tells me bowser is going to be pretty good in 3.6

:( that was my favorite part lol

Wasn't he buffed in every way? Or is Lenny now a replacement for Kappa?
I like using that face. It's my version of a kappa. Something like a smug little grin if you will.

Dedede became more janky and has a less solid basic neutral tools with nerfs to dair and swallow so now fishing for Gordo-dashing by throwing upwards (not at the opponent, which we currently do) seems like its probably a pretty good strategy.

Bye bye to any DDD aggression, hello salt-inducing gordo-dash camping.

Sonic's....unchanged, for the most part. Nair and DTilt buffs and some new animations. Fun times.

Don't know where I'd put him on a tier list, but if I had to guess probably #25-30.

Now that Olimar can recover, you can all realize the glory that is Pikmin Toss. And then promptly want it nerfed.

We in a shine spike free world now.

Edit: Since the changes are going to bring in more Oli players (a la 3.5 Ganon), prepare to hear a lot of people saying Oli is dumb and whatnot due MU inexperience and get placed higher in random tier lists. I mean, he IS better, but not to the point where he gets to be top tier ez. Still autoloses neutral to Fox, still hates swordies/Ivy etc. Can definitely win a tournament now, but will probably need a secondary as people learn the MU.

Alongside his recovery, Olimar was slightly buffed everywhere else from range to damage. I think mr. grinch was right when he said he's now top 15 material, or at least mid tier.

Oh and the explosion effect with red pikmin is SO SATISFYING (and the yellow with melee electric effects too)

It literally does nothing to his kill potential, basically the change gives you the illusion of, "hey check it out, waft is nerfed right", but wario still going to be killing you at pretty earlier percents with it. Kinda silly imo.

But hey, got a better roll and a better hitbox on one of my best moves, snazy right?
Yeah I don't really understand what the point of the change was. Is SB going to use that as grounds for why his main's most controversial mechanic is balanced now?

Falcon nerfed, Peach gets animation changes mostly, and Puff nearly unchanged. I mean I get Peach and Falcon but from what I've heard doesn't Puff have unwinnables in PM?

Jiggs got slaughtered in the 3.02 meta and has been in better condition since 3.5 and now. It's just that Juan's one of the only notable players.

Wolf could definetly be the best character, but we have to see how always being able to buffer rolls out of his nair>shine pressure on shield changes his MUs and how people play against him.

The fail window is for characters using a footstool, not the victim. If you press the footstool button you have mapped and are not able to footstool someone, you can't attempt it again for 20 frames. Prior to 3.6, it was possible to simply mash the footstool button in such scenarios.

So C sticks not forcing fast fall during platform drop animations is huge.

drop cancel up-air combos will be so good now, I'm calling it. I know Its already amazing for diddy, I expect squirtle to get helped by these changes, Mario, MK, Marth, GnW, ROB, Olimar, basically everyone with a good upair will enjoy having shield drop upairs not auto fast fall.

I'm serious, this change is big and amazing.
