Nya never said anything about a Japanese delay. The North American release could very well be delayed til March due to February being a less active sales month, even if the game were complete. Nevertheless, we will find out whether these insiders are liars in less than four weeks anyway.

I find this little disturbing. The fact he got the Dragoon item right on the money they can be more fact, but I see it as a coinidence and a lucky guess. It does make me a little optimistic though, is that if Nya was correct then the final roster might be that, but nothing is really confirmed until the game is out or said otherwise by Sakurai. Too bad this thread won't change much do too the dojo takig a break.

Yeah, I was reading a discussion on 2ch over which Fire Emblem characters will be playable in Brawl. Somebody said Micaiah since Sothe was in as an Assist Trophy, then somebody responded to him saying that the Lyn Assist Trophy would be confirmation to Eliwood being playable then. I will look more into the Soth Assist Trophy. Can you link me to the GameFAQs thread where they are talking about the Sothe Assist Trophy? Sothe is quite popular in Japan, so I am not surprised about this.
With less than a month away from the Japanese release and little more away from the North American one, I doubt they'll announce another delay out of the blue now. If the decision to do it had already been made, it seems they wouldn't wait until everyone is beginning to get excited about it again, then announce another delay and crush our excitement. Sounds too counter-productive if you ask me. Besides, delaying it due to March being a more active sales month sounds pretty ridiculous if you ask me - Brawl is going to sell big no matter when it comes out (my local Gamestop told me over a month ago that they had more pre-orders for it than for Halo 3), and its not like releasing it in February will mean no one can buy it in March (unless they run out of copies, in which case they could hardly have sold more by waiting, now could they?).

While it is definitely good for Micaiah, considering that is likely Radiant Dawn Sothe that was used, the same logic can be used with Eliwood in the case of the Lyn Assist Trophy (in that the character's chances were boosted due to a less important character from the same game getting in as an Assist Trophy). Nevertheless, I still think Leaf from FE4 and FE5 would be the best third representative. However, I know he doesn't have a shot. After him I would have Roy.
