MGS3D since that's only one I have with me right now. Framerate actually isn't as bad as I remember it to be, besides some...frequent drops. Crouch walking is still awesome.

Nope, it's only an addition that was added for the 3DS game.

Always throws me off now whenever I play the HD game and it's not there lol. It's so good and makes the experience better. Honestly if it weren't for the low resolution and framerate I'd say the 3DS game would have been the definitive version because of all the little tweaks that make the game much more streamlined.

Ah that's a shame, but it is cool that we get some stuff from peace walker. I'll buy it when I get a 3ds.
I wish they would bring Metal Gear 1 and 2 to the U.S. VC. The Japanese wii u and 3ds owners are soo lucky. It would be cool to play them on the gamepad.

So Kojima and Kojima Productions went all out with MGS3D and made it the definitive version of Snake Eater. Redoing all the textures, added exclusive crouch walking and added Yoshi's and Yoshi Camo. and a lot of Merchandise as well. i don't i think he got Sakurai's Attention.

Yeah, despite the framerate, there was a lot of effort put into it.

Well just finished Metal Gear Solid for the first time and I only killed 11 people in the game. But yeah, I really did enjoy the game with its engaging stealth mechanics, awesome music and style, and the over-the-top yet still cool and deep characters and story.

So yeah I'm in a bit of a dilemma since I don't own a PS2 or PS3 to play Metal gear Solid 2. I am aware that Snake Eater is on the 3DS, so would I be missing too much if I skipped out on MGS2 and play Snake Eater First?

Gosh darn it, I really hope Snake gets in now that I really know him. Sigh.... well maybe they'll announce him tomorrow as a veteran along with the newcomer. Lets hope for the best tomorrow.

Snake Eater is a prequel staring Naked Snake, so it'll be completely fine to start with it. A good amount of people did such.

^its hard to say, but on one hand if he can go through licensing to get Rayman as just a trophy there is absolutely nothing to stop snake from getting back in just as easily. But this update is weird no matter how you slice it, I don't know what to think anymore.

I do recall a rumour before that Ubisoft approached Nintendo about Rayman in Smash but were refused. Maybe this is the result of that - Ubisoft donated the model for a character rather than Nintendo seeking the licensing themselves. Still, a lot of effort to go through for a trophy.

Ugh, I'm really scared they might do that now... -_- I'm hoping he'll get revealed today (or something that deconfirms the leak is shown) so this fear can stop.

Yeah the Rayman Trophy definitely opens up a whole new angle for just about any discussion regarding snake.

If you're not going to put him in the game, just don't put him in the damn game, don't flip a middle finger at me about how I can't play Snake instead. That would probably be one of the only things that would truly piss me off about smash 4.
So we got Rayman as a statue, he's ubisoft right? (I have no idea). I don't think he'll be playable but that mean we'll get a third party as our character today... even if it's not Snake than that means we could easily get him as the veteran.
