Smash Lord
When I think of Smash Bros., I think of Snake. Watching Ally's, and now Rolex's Snake, inspires me to play competitively. I can't wait for E3.

I thought a lot of tournament players used him... but, idk, I'm not really into the whole "world competition" type of stuff for Smash Bros. since I'm only good against my friends XDIt's actually seeming more and more likely to me what is making you doubt?
This is the perfect time because some (very few mind you) tournament players are Snake mains so it's only natural for those people to be able to play with their main character.
That's the way I look at it at least.
Professor Pro is a superb Snake user as wellWhen I think of Smash Bros., I think of Snake. Watching Ally's, and now Rolex's Snake, inspires me to play competitively. I can't wait for E3.
I know, I just prefer Rolex.Professor Pro is a superb Snake user as well
Agreed. But I feel that I'd still have hopes for him, no matter what. I'll probably go into some serious denial, like saying "He'll be DLC" or something... I guess you can call me desperateIf Snake is returning I would be surprised if he's announced during or before E3. I'll still hold out hope that he appears even if he's not announced during that time but it'll be a small hope.
I don't blame you. He was a unique character with a unique moveset, I would hate for him to be removed. It could be like Mewtwo where Lucario was the spiritual successor to Mewtwo, but I can't think of anyone who could take over Snake's moveset. Plus, I'd hate them as much as I hated Lucario at first.Agreed. But I feel that I'd still have hopes for him, no matter what. Does your friend like Mega Man?Snake should come back definitely, that's how I got my friends to play the game:
(Me:Hey wanna play smash?
Friend: Not really- is that Snake?!? )
And that's the reason he plays smash now
Yea, but not as much as Solid SnakeDoes your friend like Mega Man?
Naw, that'd be more like Snake and Pac Man. Mewtwo, imo, would be a secret character. I mean, can you imagine the blow-up of the fanbase if Mewtwo's a secret character? Seems totally like something Sakurai would do. I could also see Snake being a secret character as well.I say Snake and Mewtwo will both be reveled at E3. Imagine a trailer like Greninja and Charzarid but with Snake and Mewtwo.
I agree. I feel his presence in Smash is perfectly validated because he's had some major titles on Nintendo platforms, most notably the highly acclaimed Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes on Gamecube.I'm a little annoyed about how many people hate Snake purely for not being "Nintendo enough". Does it not count for something that he has a very unique and fun playstyle along with a whole lot of fans in the Smash audience? I'll be quite disappointed if Snake's cut as no other character really plays like him, it will be a bigger loss than most other characters in terms of character diversity.
If we do get him back then they'd best add the Best is Yet to Come as stage music I'm biased toward it because it's in Irish and I'm Irish.
I believe you but where did you get this info?Fun fact: If it wasn't for Metal Gaer NES, there probably wouldn't have been a Metal Gear 2, and thus MGS wouldn't exist.
It's purely hypothetical. In retrospect, I shouldn't have said "fun fact" since it isn't really fact. But, considering at that time the MSX2 version of Metal Gear was unavailable in NA and the fact the NES version (which was out in NA) outsold the MSX2 version the sales were likely used as budget for MG2, which was the base for MGS to begin with. It's a theory, but it isn't exactly far fetched.I believe you but where did you get this info?
It was actually snakes revenge on the nes that prompted kojima to make his true sequelFun fact: If it wasn't for Metal Gaer NES, there probably wouldn't have been a Metal Gear 2, and thus MGS wouldn't exist.
So my theory wasn't that far off.It was actually snakes revenge on the nes that prompted kojima to make his true sequel
Yeah, E3 seems to be that kind of time when they'd announce Snake. If he doesn't get announced at E3, I wouldn't have any hopes of him returning. If Snake is returning I would be surprised if he's announced during or before E3. I'll still hold out hope that he appears even if he's not announced during that time but it'll be a small hope.
Definitely Snake. Snake...he...just...I don't know. There's just something about him that stood out. To me, he fit into Smash perfectly. I will be very upset if Pac-Man get's in over Snake, as I've never like Pac-Man.I'm going to take a break form SSB4 Speculation. There has been so much amazing news for this game and for me right now, it seems like more fun to revel in the hype of this game and E3. Whatever this game holds, Snake or no Snake, it's going to be awesome.
I will however leave you with one last question: Would you rather see Pac-man or Solid Snake in SSB4? There is a lot of discussion going around about Pac-man being in the next game. Personally, despite his massive role in video games as a whole, (As much as I hate to use this argument because this was used against us SO MANY TIMES) Pac-man doesn't fit into Smash. Or rather, he isn't a character that could work as a playable character in Smash due to his extreme lack of movepool (All he can do is bite).
yea but i feel that snake was a one time thing of course i wouldn't mind him. in just i feel he was one thingDefinitely Snake. Snake...he...just...I don't know. Now now, my friend. We won't be certain until E3. I'm sure he'll be revealed there. If not, he'd be a hidden character...and if not that...yea but i feel that snake was a one time thing of course i wouldn't mind him. in just i feel he was one thing
yea your right sakurai is a sneaky one expetailly with vetsNow now, my friend. We won't be certain until E3. I'm sure he'll be revealed there. If not, he'd be a hidden character...and if not that...

....
......
I will cry.
geniusThe end of Smash's E3 trailer.
You see Pac-Man chasing Mario and Luigi down a maze as he chomps on pellets. Pac-Man notices a peculiar object lying on the ground in place of one of the pellets, and stops, allowing the plumbers to get away. He bends down, picks it up, inspects it and eats it. There's an explosion inside of his stomach - he shrugs it off much like Wario before looking around, suspicious. He just shakes his head and goes back to chasing the brothers.
A few seconds later, we see a cardboard box and a pair of legs sneak after him.
I hope we get both characters, but I'd rather have snake than pacman.I'm going to take a break form SSB4 Speculation. WutWhile we're on the subject of Pac-Man, the two characters would actually complement each other nicely seeing as Metal Gear is basically just a highly evolved version of Pac-Man itself.
