Lil Wayne hosting SF news? That Kimberly alt is amazing
More eye would look gross. He'd look like a Pixar car.My hot take about Donkey Kong. I don't like how he had just a flesh noodle in a shape around his eyeballs that has brown fur underneath it before it gets to the actual eyes. I'd rather they fill in that brown space with either more eye or more tan flesh. Just they way it currently is looks gross.
Or Boom Sonic.More eye would look gross. He'd look like a Pixar car.
simp for Wario as well and it’s legal…TheMightyP am I allowed to simp for Mario and luigi at the same time or is that aginst the rules?
also give Yink a hug
Yeah, I'll allow it.TheMightyP am I allowed to simp for Mario and luigi at the same time or is that aginst the rules?
Ganondorf needs the biggest rework, and some of the original fighters can use some touch ups, but tbh I always hated the way fans try to rework movesets where everything has to be a reference or it's bad.Which smash characters do you want to see changes in their movesets next time?
Sonic, thats pretty much itWhich smash characters do you want to see changes in their movesets next time?
Mario, Sonic, Ganondorf.Which smash characters do you want to see changes in their movesets next time?
Not necessarily a whole new moveset, but I want to change my boi's Egg Toss to how it is in his games. You aim with a cursor but you can also cancel it with a normal. You can then "charge" it in that state where it becomes a fast, powerful throw in the direction you had it last. In the air you can absorb some of the momentum to make you fly in the opposite directionWhich smash characters do you want to see changes in their movesets next time?
I mean… I kind of get both mindsets. Personally I kind of get annoyed when there’s a move that fits the moveset perfectly but instead it’s something original or the original moves make the character not feel like they’re actually themselves (like Diddy Kong or Samus) But at the same time sometimes you have to make things up.Ganondorf needs the biggest rework, and some of the original fighters can use some touch ups, but tbh I always hated the way fans try to rework movesets where everything has to be a reference or it's bad.
It really depends on the archetype of characters they are. For example, Kirby's primarily a rushdown type, so having the slide would fit his character, but a character like DK is a grappler, him throwing barrels is an awful idea and goes against the moveset philosophy.I mean… I kind of get both mindsets. Except for that one Idea I saw somewhere where the Barrel was a command grab where he puts someone in the barrel and then throws it.It really depends on the archetype of characters they are. I mean I guess but I'd feel that'd be a bit redundant given that his F-Throw is already based on the barrel throw from DKC (except the opponents are the barrels themselves).Except for that one Idea I saw somewhere where the Barrel was a command grab where he puts someone in the barrel and then throws it.
Eh. IDK. His current moveset just doesn't feel much like Donkey Kong to me.I mean I guess but I'd feel that'd be a bit redundant given that his F-Throw is already based on the barrel throw from DKC (except the opponents are the barrels themselves)
I mean in all fairness, not really much you can do with DK without destroying his archetype. Smash team definitely had a lot more to work with Diddy and K. Rool.Eh. IDK. His current moveset just doesn't feel much like Donkey Kong to me.
Then why not change his archetype? Why does he need to be a grappler still? I'd rather the character feel like the character.I mean in all fairness, not really much you can do with DK without destroying his archetype. Smash team definitely had a lot more to work with Diddy and K. Rool.
Short answer, Smash 64.Then why not change his archetype? Why does he need to be a grappler still? I'd rather the character feel like the character.
I think they should risk it. A lot of the "bad" movesets were established all the way back then and Smash is way different now.Short answer, Smash 64.
Long answer: Because when DK was added, his was primarily based off the early DKC games which in those games, he had his rolling attack, the hand slap, and throwing objects and enemies. In his cutscenes, he showed off his brute strentgh such as uppercuting K. Rool to oblivion. And aside from DK64, he hasn't done much else since. Thus... that's all they can do. Aside from that, they don't really want to run the risk of completely alienating a playerbase if they just change the character to be... idk a zoner for whatever reason (which btw, fast big bodies should not be zoners by any means).
Yoshi is one of the characters I wanted to change too so…Not necessarily a whole new moveset, but I want to change my boi's Egg Toss to how it is in his games. Agree to disagree thenI think they should risk it. A lot of the "bad" movesets were established all the way back then and Smash is way different now.
Ironically didn't get that until Smash 4he had his rolling attack
Yeah that I will never understand, but I giess they couldn't in Brawl because Sonic took the rollling budgetIronically didn't get that until Smash 4
Sonic has to get top priority for rolls in all games involving himYeah that I will never understand, but I giess they couldn't in Brawl because Sonic took the rollling budget
That reminds me, does Frontiers have the Spin Dash?Sonic has to get top priority for rolls in all games involving him
No, but in the second main update, it will add the Spin Dash, actually. That reminds me, does Frontiers have the Spin Dash?
Source? No, but in the second main update, it will add the Spin Dash, actually.
In that case, get a load of this!Source?
Kind of pointless now when most people are done with the game.In that case, get a load of this!
There was a problem fetching the tweet
Well, there is a new Boss Rush mode, for one.Kind of pointless now when most people are done with the game.
What even were the “challenges” in update 1?
A barrel works neatly for his gameplan too as any grappler adores a way to force approaches, though Smash's emphasis on aerial movement can be troublesome, it'd still be a bit annoying to have to jump over barrels constantly. If anyone's outdated in Smash, it's Samus.I actually think DK's smash design is pretty good, all things considered. He's a high momentum character which really reflects how he plays in DKC. His dash attack really goes a long way increasing his burst range and keeping him more ground based then Bowser who loves to jump a lot more.
The thing I think he's really missing is a barrel throw attack, since like it or not his arcade game is what he's actually best known for. If a full projectile is too much it can be an attack where he smashes a barrel over someone's head directly. Swap out his side special for it. Or if they wanted to be really risky it could be a slow projectile with a ton of start up and little end lag, allowing him to run behind it to approach - but at that point we're heading arguably too far into rushdown character territory.
His Coconut Gun is iconic to DK 64 and only that game. It's not really synonymous with the character outside of it. If it really had to be incorporated into his moveset though, I think a short range blast could work. That said I think Diddy has the gizmos and gadgets area covered well enough.
