People are excited about the concept of a Persona 4 remake until they realized Yuri lowenthal is still on strike so yosuke may or may not be voiced or recast. And that strike isnt ending anytime soon
There's always a chance they can just replace the entire cast like they did with P3RE.

Also, P4 cast gets new voice actors all the time - it's probably the worst in the series in that regard.

Idk specifics about the strike for studios or companies but I'll be honest, seeing as the P3 cast all got their roles replaced beyond Elizabeth, chances are Yosuke would be recast as well
I just hope whoever they recast him with gives the same energy to yosuke that Yuri did

They can recast Teddie, Naoto, rise, and Yukiko all they want, but recasting Yosuke, Yu, chie and Kanji will make me raise an eyebrow a bit because, it wont be the same without them

I mean... Kanji and Chie already got recast once. They went from Troy Baker and Tracey Rooney to Matt Mercer and Erin Fitzgerald.

haven't posted much on here lately but I wanted to talk about stuff I've been watching lately

Last week I finished watching Batman: the Brave and the Bold. I always had fond memories of this show from back then but in reality I actually didn't remember much - my main memories of it were pretty much just Blue Beetle and Bat-Mite. But I've been getting more interested in DC's catalog lately, and the premise of the show interested me, so I decided to revisit it. It's a ton of fun! It's such a fascinating trek through all the weird niche corners of the DC universe and there are so many fun characters showcased. I also really love the visual style it has going on: the character designs all have this really stagey dynamic feel to them with thick black lines and whatnot, and it might be one of my favorite visual styles any of these DC cartoons have gone for, everything just pops in a way even other well-regarded entries don't. It makes sense that one of the last episodes guest stars Space Ghost, because that's very much the kind of thing this show feels like it's stylistically calling back to at times, that old WB-adjacent cartoon vibe.

If I have any complaints about the show, it's that I feel like the scope kind of starts narrowing as it goes on? Like, my favorite thing about it is seeing all these cool weird characters show up and get the spotlight, but I feel like later on in the show that kind of starts to slow down - don't get me wrong, there's always a very established cast of recurring characters the show likes to go back to, but especially after they introduce a new Justice League, by the end of Season 3 almost all the episodes are focused on the JL mainliners and already super-recurring characters, with any cool new chars mostly being relegated to the opening shorts. They take some steps to rectify this at the very end, and this has no effect on the actual quality of the episodes, but it's a bit of a shame regardless.

Regardless, it's such a comfy show, with so many cool homages thrown in there - one of my favorite examples is the anthology episode where they animate a chapter from the old Batman manga by the 8 Man author. That **** rocks. I also think it's neat that despite the Silver Age focus, there's a surprising amount of at-the-time brand new legacy heroes showing up. This show is a masterclass in digging up the most fringe characters and showing off how cool they are - it's basically the perfect show to find your new favorite DC character. Loved it. They should put Ambush Bug in Injustice

What I want is a 3D Donkey Kong game that isn’t a follow-up to 64, but instead it’s in the style of Mario 3D World and Kirby and the Forgotten Land. 3D levels where the goal is to get to the end, but on the way there’s tons of secrets to find if you want to explore.

Either that or DK RPG :dkmelee:
Donkey Kong 3D Country would be amaaaaaazing. Especially if it had a lot of characters both playable and side.
I would want the playable characters to be…
  • Donkey Kong and Funky Kong: The standard Kongs
  • Diddy Kong and Cranky Kong: the lil fast guys
  • Dixie Kong and Tiny Kong: The gliders
  • Kiddy Kong and Chunky Kong: the strong and slow kongs
  • Lanky Kong and Candy Kong: the Kong’s with unusual playstyle.
And for their to be four Country style npcs
  • Wrinkly Kong gives out hints and tips
  • Swanky Kong runs the Bonus Bonanza where you can compete for bonuses. Including Golden Bananas this time (treated like a mix of the original Bonus Bonanza and those challenge cubes in 3D World. The show has a trivia round and a physical challenge round. That kinda thing)
  • Donkey Kong Jr is back as an adult with a design based on Commuter Kong/Hat Kong. Revealing he’s been working as a bus driver in New Donk City and sending the money back to his family. He’s here with his bus to quickly drive you to locations you’ve already been to as fast travel.
  • Snide runs the shop that is standard in Returns and Tropical Freeze
I’d also love to see most/all of the animal buddies return. Gives us an opportunity to mix and match buddy powers with Kong powers.

The villains would obviously be the Kremlings and I think it would be fun to have a story that takes you across both DK Isle and Krocodile Isle (the Kremlings have been missing for so long because they’ve been rebuilding). Maybe the Northern Kremisphere but I don’t think it’s necessary. And while K. Roll is the final boss I think it would be fun if the bosses were all new charscters. Maybe a group of animal themed bounty hunters K. Rool has hired to help him kill DK.

Also DK64 style weapons and gadgets as power ups instead of being a part of their base kit.

Definitely one of my favorite cartoons ever.

It proved Batman doesn't always need to be serious.

Also, tried looking it up and now I'm mad that the scene where Plastic Man defuses a bomb with his ass cheeks is seemingly nowhere to be found on YouTube

I watched the show for a while back when i twas new, but kind of fell of it after the first season or so. That might have been because it released around a time where I wasn't watching many TV shows in general, I suppose, other than ones that had already been airing for a while and/or were a year or so off from their own series finales. I really should do a binge watch of the entire Brave and the Bold series someday.

I still remember it for jokes like this one, though:

as long as Yu and Adachi keep their same actor we good…also Chie cause that’s a peak voice
I just hope whoever they recast him with gives the same energy to yosuke that Yuri did

Can we recast Teddie…with a clone of Koromaru instead?

they’re adding friendly, happy versions of ghasts you can ride to Minecraft.

You can find a “Dry Ghast” block in the Nether’s Soul Sand Valleys, seemingly in or around those bone block fossil-like structures scattered around (in Minecraft Live, one was next to one of the ribs in the ribcage-looking structure); place the Dry Ghast in water in the Overworld, and it will eventually become a “Ghastling,” which is a smaller, young, happy ghast. Eventually, it will grow into an adult you can harness and ride through the air, and feeding it snowballs speeds up the aging process.

Ghasts are one of my favorite mobs so this got me excited:happysheep:

Can't wait for people to complain that this optional mob that you can completely ignore impacts the game too much.

This is also now the best way to transport livestock:

How I'll feel when Bob Iger leaves Disney:
It's just my theory, but I feel like so many of the things people have grown frustrated with Disney for (mega-corporation crud, live-action remakes, countless terrible decisions with the TV shows) can be traced to Iger's decisions. He's the one who turned Disney into the infamous force of greed and awful choices that it is now and I'm REALLY tired with his management
