What's everyone's favorite Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy?
Mine is Honeyhive Galaxy due to the music

High quality rips of game OSTs aside, mine are probably a tie between Ghostly Galaxy and Dreadnaught Galaxy. Battlerock Galaxy gets points too since Dreadnaught's main theme is actually Battlerock's.

Beachbowl and Freezflame are also up there. And Matter Splatter's one level was just a cool concept in general.

Space Junk Galaxy is so soothing.

Also funny timing on this post because I just recently finished a 120 star run of this game and it's still wonderful.

Also this. Space Junk's theme is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in a video game, ironic given the level's name and general theme.

Pokémon Masters finally has a character that hails from a completely different universe:

Unlike the previous protags, Florian comes from a completely different universe. Having been lured here by Hoopa.

This is probably to play off of the paradox story, but this does technically mean characters from spinoffs or even the manga are fair game. Although the later is probably unlikely.

Regardless it opens up the possibilities of doing stories with characters we know but under different circumstances. Like what if they had a version of Brendan where he’s from the rainbow rocket universe and lost to Team Magma?

A lot of potential for where they could go with this concept, so I hope they expand it.

IMO they have pretty much everyone. Even a tonne of third parties I didn’t expect them to pay for. Some Greek god of war characters maybe? Emmett Graves? Q*Bert? The Ghostbusters?

ORAS was revealed at such a weird time. It was like 4 AM and I was still awake (because my sleep schedule was terrible) and I a youtube video dropped on the Pokemon Youtube channel out of nowhere. If I was sleeping like a normal person I'd have totally missed it.

Shiny Keldeo obtained!

Thank you to Shroob for the quick trade. At 152 combined hours between both versions, I can finally put SwSh behind me. Ironically, right now I have 82 hours in Shining Pearl, 54 hours in Let's Go Eevee, 107 hours in Legends Arceus, and only 35 hours in Violet.

I'll probably take a small break before tackling the Paldea Dex. I'm still waiting for it in the mail, but part of me wants to speed run Scarlet so I can get extra copies of the Wake/Leaves before their event ends on the 27th.

I watched Captain America: Brave New World this afternoon; I enjoyed it. Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford (along with their dynamic with each other) were great, but the unexpected highlight for me was Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley. He did an incredible job with making Isaiah feel deep and tragic, someone who's trying to move past his cynicism from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier while still being traumatized by what happened and understanding how much the idea of Sam being Captain America means.

I feel like they did a good job with providing details for MCU projects like The Incredible Hulk and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier so that people who hadn't seen those (or hadn't seen them in years) would still have some context.

I was concerned that the conspiracy thriller elements that the trailers focused on wouldn't get as much focus in the movie itself, but it did a good job with building up this sense of dread and apparent inevitability as Sam tries to save his friend, Ross tries to secure his legacy, and both run into political roadblocks that come with their new positions in life. Surprisingly, Red Hulk wasn't in the movie as much as I thought, with it almost being a post-climax confrontation - Ross is in the movie a lot, and Harrison Ford does a great job with humanizing the character while building off of the character's previous appearances, but his transformation only happens at the end, though it makes sense within the context of the Leader's scheme.

Also, the post-credits scene feels like it could be skipped. It's not quite Spider-Man: Homecoming levels of poking fun at the audience for waiting, but it feels like they didn't want to commit to anything concrete in the wake of what happened with Jonathan Majors. I feel like it could have been improved a lot by changing one word. The Leader talks about how soon, Earth will be attacked by other worlds with their own heroes - if he had said "other Earths with their own heroes", that would have gotten the point across, whereas without that extra bit of information, it just sounds like he's describing an alien invasion.

as an aside, did DC comics coin the terms “other earths” or “my/your earth” to describe multiverse stuff? I know other franchises have done it, but most other examples I can think of come after dc started using the phrase.
