Watched a couple of films in the past few days and here are my reviews:

I really do not know where to start with Damien Chazelle's take on how Hollywood during the 1920's onwards. Chazelle is very well known for his work on directing the highly acclaimed "La La Land" in the past, but Babylon feels like the complete opposite in which the plot was awfully bloated and I just wonder whether there is any point in making this film three hours long.

Despite the effects of its cast from Margot Robbie, Bradd Pitt and Diego Calva, Babylon failed to find its spark with a story that was not just entirely frustrating, but eventually led to nowhere.

Rating: 2/10
Based upon one of the iconic female characters of the Street Fighter games franchise, the film that revolve Chun-Li was an absolute disaster from start to end. The story made zero to no sense and the characters do not stay faithful to their video game counterparts in which I feel whoever did the writing for the film had no clue what the video game was about.

Chris Klein and Neal McDonough were both massive miscasts as the two cannot bring their characters to life with such wooden and stale performances.

Overall, I'd recommend watching the Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist series that was able to adapt the source material much better than the Legend of Chun-Li.

Rating: 1/10
The Menu is probably considered as one of the most underated films of 2022. The story revolves around a culinary chef named "Slowik" who invited several individuals to his high-end restaurant who provided his guests with several twists and turns within his dark and comedic themed menu with shocking surprises that no-one would had ever predicted. The Menu was able to craft a uniquely interesting story and capitalises on its genre quite well along with the strong performances of Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy.

So sorry, I really should have carefully worded that better. Didn't mean to scare you.
It was mostly my phone, when it refreshes, It jumps around so "Some sad news y'all. Nicholas Cage" flashed before anything else lol

I least now I know how I would feel if, god forbid, that ever does happen

I wonder what the plan is/was? (I want to believe a lava/caterpillar gig)
People think they retooled it into Orthworm. I don’t see it though. The fact Orthworm is a Titan, means it was probably created pretty early on. Meanwhile the data suggests the Toedscruel change was relatively last minute.

A larva caterpillar could be interesting. I could see it even becoming some flying serpent Pokémon that looks like gyarados. Definitely a lot of potential on designs or types. Like maybe it becomes a land snake they resembles it’s original look.

Best Disney movie character: Princess Jasmine
Worst Disney movie character: Princess Atta
Best Disney TV character: Melissa Chase (though Sprig Plantar comes close)
Worst Disney TV character: Ashley Spinelli

This is objectively correct /half-joke
On a similar, but not really note...
Loud siblings, ranked:
1. Leni
2. Luan
3. Luna
4. Lola
5. Lincoln
6. Lucy
7. Lily
8. Lori
9. Lana
10. Lisa
11. Lynn Jr

Lynn Jr is the only one I genuinely dislike (and even she has a killer joke once in a while). Used to dislike Lori too but came around on her given time. And I just regularly forget Lana and moreso Lisa exist oops

After the No Such Luck episode. Yeah, I utterly despise her.

She deserves to be eaten by a Gyaos.
Now I wouldn't go THAT far, she IS relatively young...but yeah that episode was not exactly one of her shining moments. Or a shining moment for ANYONE, for that matter (as the millions of fanfics written to call out the family's behavior in that particular ep would show)

Of course I probably sound like a hypocrite with how high I rank Lola, but she's hilarious IMO in the same way I find Sarah from Ed, Edd n' Eddy to be, and also has some genuinely shining moments like in "A Tattler's Tale". Also Lola's personality overall appeals to me more

Just watched the first Mario Movie.

It…really wasn’t so bad. As an adaptation of the games it sucks, but as a movie on its own I think it’s fairly entertaining. Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo are pretty fun protagonists.

Seriously though, it cannot be overstated just how little this has to do with the games. It’s kinda hilarious.

If only we could get a proper Mario movie, perhaps an animated one…

I liked that Mario movie myself! It was not perfect, not to mention a good adaptation of the game as you said, but it was quite entertaining, and had a good charm to it. It may deserve some of the hate it may get, but it does not deserve all the hate it may get.

The first Academy Ace Tournament completed.

With no more story missions to do, I can focus now completing the Pokédex and wait for whatever TPC has planned in the future.

Crave for the day they’ll finally stop making yoshi a green little fun cartoon dinasaur and finally make him the actual face mauling raptor from the movie
