I forgot Game Awards was today until I popped in here and skimmed through 6 pages of steadily increasing Half-Life 3 despair.

I watched it cause I wanted to see HL3 live (didn't happen), but I also somehow deluded myself that Legends Z-A was gonna be shown there too.
I am an idiot.
This song sounds like Jump Up Superstar.
-Am I tripping or is this song really similar to Jump Up Superstar
I’m guessing Nintendo is waiting until 2025 to get last minute holiday sales. So like
With the Switch 2 just being.... out there now
Nintendo, Direct soon....? Please?
I wish more of the levels were as short as this one tbh.Tokyo Zone in Shadow Generations was pretty fun but it felt like the shortest stage in the game
The Westopolis remix is cool tho
I actually think they'll reveal it in January, so maybe it won't be too long now?So like

I bet once the new console is officially unveiled we'll get more directs again. There's gonna be a lot of new games and they'll want to drum up a lot of hype for the new system. We now know for 100% that the Switch 2 reveal and Pokémon Day is the only Nintendo we're getting in the near future.
Too bad. The game makes heavy use of the DualShock 5's features.Congrats to Astro Bot for winning.
Now to wait for a PC port because I genuinely cannot use Playstation controllers.
I shit on Geoff a lot, but I do think he took a lot of feedback to heart with this show. This Game Awards felt like the best show he ever put on.

"Best show" doesn't mean a whole lot and there's still some of the stench over it and to be frank, you can't be self aware if you're gonna go back to the old stuff in the next one so that's gonna be extra scrutiny for next time, but for now at least. Yeah, solid show for once.Hey, I saw positive talk about this year's TGA for once and it comes from someone who doesn't like the show

Yet weirdly enoughCritikal was adamant throughout most of his stream that there'd be no Half-Life 3, Bloodborne 2 or Silk Song at TGA this year.
He was right.
I mean, depending on who you ask, it's actually only the second game. Are you kidding me the ShadGens DLC came out while I was asleep and I only found out 5 minutes before work despite waking up an hour early?
Also I do not believe a single one of you we got a third Okami game, stop lying to me
Idk, I got Okamiden as a present from my grandpa and was enamoured with it, I still remember minor **** like a sidequest where you help a cute little boar who wanted to see the human that saved it from a bear trap, that **** hits hard as that was one of the last times I saw my old manI mean, depending on who you ask, it's actually only the second game.
Okami 2 was the highlight for most of usI kept my promise this year and slept through the entire game awards. Not a hard promise to keep but you'd be surprised how many times I woke up in the middle of the night and then caught it in the middle out of sheer boredom.
Was there anything worthwhile announced at all?

It's weird seeing the cast of a game and actually recognizing all the namesYet weirdly enough
Critikal himself was an announcement
He's in the cast of a game called Dispatch
Elden Ring DLC, Witcher, a new game by the Shadow of the Colossus' crew, I think a new Sonic racing game, a new Pac-Man game that looks like a sci-fi Metroidvania, and a new Okami game were all announced.I kept my promise this year and slept through the entire game awards. I haven't played any of the Okami games yet, so I can't attest to Okamiden's quality. I was just rolling with the joke based on the game's more divided reception and possibility that this new game in the series is going to be considered the "true" sequel since Okamiden wasn't made by most of the original dev team.Idk, I got Okamiden as a present from my grandpa and was enamoured with it, I still remember minor ** like a sidequest where you help a cute little boar who wanted to see the human that saved it from a bear trap, that ** hits hard as that was one of the last times I saw my old man
I think you need to play more types of gamesThere will never be a mascot platformer announcement at the game awards
I dunno, if someone can make a mascot platformer that's also an HD 4K dark fantasy/sci-fi cinematic experience they might have a chance. There will never be a mascot platformer announcement at the game awards
