I ask this because I don't think the TGA are respecting the games they should be celebrating.

Despite the many cringe-worthy moments, E3 focused on the games (unless you were Xbox One).

I know what you mean. In fact, if I recall correctly, I do not think Geoff liked E3 much. I could be wrong, but the Game Awards he has is a poor replacement, anyway.

I thought there was a step up from last year, particularly with the Game Changer part but I was disappointed to see that most of the awards still just get quickly listed off in favour of filling the time mostly with trailers and ads.

Sure there was more bad stuff that came out of E3 than we would like to admit, but the percentage of good to bad things from E3 was significantly better than what we have be seeing The Game Awards.
