I get why they reverted her but it's a real shame, it's like the one thing characterwise I don't like in DQXIS. Then again the only other real negative I have with that game is that ass battle theme, like, you could tell Sugiyama was dying lmao

All the tracks in XI that weren't just lifted from the older games were pretty damn bleh imo. Not even the orchestral arrangements in S do much to save them for me.

I remember playing 8 and realizing the only songs I thought were better than bland were taken from it made me laugh my ass off, XI's battle theme is so ass bruh, I still hear it in my nightmares alongside the NES DQ1 battle theme.

Speaking of 8 I never had the time to finish that, I even searched for a physical copy a while back and went out of my way to mod the orchestral soundtrack in the 3ds version just to spite Sugiyama

I didn't mind the battle theme but what I didn't like was the main overworld theme. Way too short, way too loud, and also annoying. I just swapped it to the DQ8 field theme first chance I got.

The other thing I didn't like was Jade's characterization. She was supposed to be this mentally and physically strong girl, but at some point it just devolves into her just being "sexy" and that's it. that's her entire character. Also didn't like the possible romance implications between her and the Hero given that she was pretty much his big sister. But then again I married Serena so maybe I'm biased.

And at the cost of sounding like a gooner, would it really hurt to give her some muscles?

It kind of annoys me how they have the battle themes from 3 and 4 in the game but only in specific battles and you can't choose to play it in regular fights. Which sucks cause I genuinely really like DQ4's battle theme a lot.

You think that was bad, how about this series called Bunny Maloney. Only 1 season, but the show itself is crazy with the context more towards adults despite seemingly looking more for kids.....

Yeah that checks out I think. Maybe I'm not super versatile irl but I am pretty contemplative and I do usually keep to myself.

Used to watch this when I was younger. I probably shouldn’t have.

My favorite joke is when Bunny says something like “That didn’t last very long” and his girlfriend says “You’d know all about that.” Brutal.

So I just 100% completed Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. It's a really fun game but I think without the combo system, it wouldn't be very fun. With the combo system it becomes an absolute blast to play.

The boss battles were thrilling and I love how you can fight the final boss in different ways. There really is a lot of depth in this game. Why isn't it beloved a lot more?

My guess is that it was a gimmicky game on a system that wasn't as successful as it could be. I get the feeling that if you were a kid, your parents wouldn't buy you a game with what I assume are expensive fancy controllers jacking up the price assuming the household has a gamecube and as an adult, you'd be turned off from the gimmicky control system and potentially that price bump to give the game a fair shot

It was the rawest **** ever, singlehandedly making people remember Knuckles was cool back before like 2005 and then they didn't actually have it. It's the funniest **** that they joke about this line in the Knuckles show but you wouldn't understand the joke if you didn't see this specific trailer

The popular charts have been at their best since 2019, Chappell Roan has been ruling the pop roost, Kendrick Lamar has been dominating everything, Linkin Park is back, and Adam Gontier returned to Three Days Grace AND combined his forces with Matt Walst!

Plus Green Day released the insane masterpiece that is Dookie Demastered
