My hope is that this movie, if it turns out good, does two things.

1. Revitalizes the series with a new surge of young fans falling in love with the dragons.

2. Legitimizes the franchise among audiences who, for whatever reason, just can’t take animation seriously.

A lot of people say that this remake was unnecessary, and I don’t entirely disagree. But there’s a chance here to make this world and these characters even bigger than they already were. As a lifelong lover of these movies, I won’t say no to new Toothless fans.

This is pretty much my take on remakes in general.

Once something hits a certain age, a large majority of people just won't give it the time of day because there are hundreds of new things vying for their attention.
Remaking it generates new interest that you just won't get from a simple rerelease.

So even if a remake is pointless from a creative standpoint, I'm fine with it as long as it doesn't butcher what made it good in the first place.
Some people might even like it enough to check out the original.

I'm one of the people who dislikes Infinite so I shouldn't be talking, but really, I get it. I see the Deadly Six treated like the worst thing ever to come out of Sonic the Hedgehog on a regular basis. I totally get why you're sick of constant crapping on something you like.

But hey, when you're a Miraculous fan like me, you build up a tolerance to constant crap-talking of your passions. If you enjoy Forces, keep on doing just that! Don't let us memelords spoil your fun.

Finally beat Shadow Generations. Now it's time to go for all of the collectables.

I'm glad I replayed Sonic Generations first before this as those final stages really kicked my butt. Shadow's stages are more exhilarating, but also more frustrating in terms of how much more you have to manage moment to moment. I also don't think the game does the best job of explaining certain mechanics; I couldn't figure out how to maneuver with Doom Morph until I looked up a YT guide. So many bottomless pits...

Certainly the best game of the year for me so far personally. I'm not a Shadow fan by any stretch, but that ending did tug a few heartstrings.

Nintendo doesn’t own Mystery Dungeon. Every mystery dungeon game has been a collaboration with this one studio. It’s like a crossover. You need the mystery dungeon people on board for it to happen.

I had some interest in this game but wasn’t sure, though I really liked Super Monkey Ball Deluxe and Adventure as a kid (and I think I’d still like them today).

Being able to play as the Rolling Girl herself makes me even more interested in getting it.

I'm mostly curious if any DLC characters for Tekken or SF6 or maybe a reveal for City of the Wolves would be shown off. But who knows.
