I just remembered that Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World can be a good distraction to play while I wait for Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution.

Him and Dolemite are essentially two of the most iconic Blaxploitation era film stars. There's a lot more of course, but I feel like those two come to mind first.

I had a similar experience with Latias, don’t remember what caught it in, but I still remember to this day, how exciting it was to finally catch it after chasing it throughout the game.

And ORAS is actually my favorite remake lmao.

It's because they don't actually care and it's just plain old bigotry, they're even trying to misgender Vivian which never ****ing happened before. It's just hatred with an excuse attatched

This happened with Lily in Zombieland Saga.
Everyone was fine calling her Lily because that's her name. Then it's revealed she's a trans girl that literally died of dysphoria and suddenly a bunch of people are actively deadnaming her.

What I'm saying is Vivian will show up in Br*tish Parliament soon :4wario2:

I will say the Vivian discourse is so disingenuine, I thought it was common knowledge that she was trans in the original Japanese version for 2 decades, ain't nobody said she was actually a femboy until like yesterday.

Also there was a tweet fir the whole "controversy" but I'm too lazy to find it. It was something a character turns to the screen and say I am trans or somerhing idk.

That's the neat part, all this culture war bull**** is disingenuous. You have people who can't even pronounce Yasuke trying to claim to know one of the most famous samurai in history better than people who've wctually studied this ****, people who had no problem with Testament's gender having been corrected in Strive, they/them pronouns and voiced by a trans woman, suddenly start kicking and screaming about Bridget, kick and scream at Mario and Black Panther being white genocide or demasculating men until the movies are successful to which they then claim they're based and redpilled because they've got white male leads or Black Panther said "Segregation is good, please ignore the rest of the movie". It has never been anything but disingenuous bull**** for the sake of outrage clicks from weakminded idiots who think submitting to a random 'alpha male' youtuber makes them more masculine
