Did 20th Century Fox Studios forgot about the Simpsons? (technically at one point they were the company mascots)

Even crazier are the rumors that the spiderman ride in Japan could be shut down forever by the end of this month. With rumors saying Pokemon takes it over by next year.

Other reunite state that they did not forget about Simpsons and that the rights are getting given up when they expire. For Universal to put Pokémon in that area instead.

It be a huge expansion for them and a big Nintendo collab if it happens.

Ah yeah, I wasn't entirely sure becauze Detective Pikachu was distributed by WB and produced by Legendary Productions, and Sony's doing Zelda.

Makes me wonder what Illumination and by extention, Universal's exact deal with Nintendo was. I would assume they have the exclusive rights to Mario adaptations, but I wonder if there were other clauses.

I feel like I remember there being plenty of instances of them not getting along with each other in the past. At the very least, before Sora actually got in, “Disney and Nintendo hate each other” was often parroted as a reason he wouldn’t get in. And that probably didn’t come from nowhere.

I can't think of a single time that was parroted. Closest was people assuming Nintendo partnering with a competitor for movies and theme parks might be an issue. As we can see, it clearly wasn't.

Also even if people were saying that, given the amount of baseless speculation and crackpot theories that happened, it likely did come from nowhere.

I have never heard this before in my life. I remember the biggest perceived roadblock for Sora was copyright issues, not an animosity between the companies.

If anything they seem quite amiable. Disney stuff has always had a home on Nintendo consoles.

The biggest critique was Disney would never because:

1) it be too damn expensive

2) they don’t do much to license KH to other companies.

I started watching Star Trek: Lower Decks. Honestly. Great show. More in line with what Star Trek should be than a lot I’ve seen in recent years.

I tried getting into that show, but unlike Amphibia, The Owl House, and heck, tons of other Disney channel animated shows, I just...couldn't get as invested in it.

Even the more drama and story-heavy episodes like the one where Beta gets captured don't seem to have that much going on. The show's got good ideas and a great core concept, but the character and story writing just doesn't compare to those of most of Disney Channels' other shows.

I think every idea deserves a chance and that the show's got potential that it deserves a chance to realize, so it being cancelled after one season would be major bogus. But I definitely think it needs to improve on it's writing if the show's going to last and stand out on it's own.

I stopped watching animated shows that try to go heavy on story. Too much for me to keep up and most are prone to getting cancelled or screwed over by the big wigs.
