I sure do love homogenizing everything into a desaturated, high exposure, high fidelity textures art style where nothing looks distinct or unique anymore.UE5 is being shown off more and more, so you know what that means

...You want colors? What are we? Children still playing around with crayons?I sure do love homogenizing everything into a desaturated, high exposure, high fidelity textures art style where nothing looks distinct or unique anymore.
Like, bruh, why does everyone want everything to be desaturated so much now, not everything looks good with that. Cartoony games like Fortnite look terrible when they have no saturation. No offense to whoever made this, but...IDK, I'm getting a little tired of the constant overrused aesthetic of removing as much vibrancy as possible from things.
Where did all the colors go.
That’s grounds for disowning. My dad tossed out the fried rice I brought yesterday that I was planning to eat for dinner but left the week old spaghetti in the fridge
I'm really ****ing mad about this
So make all games dark and gritty like the 2000s, got it.I sure do love homogenizing everything into a desaturated, high exposure, high fidelity textures art style where nothing looks distinct or unique anymore.

This is the future, Solar!
Pikmin 2 was tied with both Metroid Prime games for prettiest GCN game for me.I remember thinking that Pikmin 2's environments had some of the most realistic graphics ever at the time.
It's been a few years since I've played the game, so I wonder how well they've held up.
OneShot has actually been out since 2016, so there's plenty of footage online if ya wanna check it out! 2014, if we're counting the first version of the game (That released before Undertale, actually.) It's a super fun indie game, I definitely recommend giving it a shot. The Japanese Indie World presentation shows a much better look at the port, haha. The Indie World presentation just finished. Nothing really stood out to me or even made me think "huh - I might pick this up", going by the gameplay that was shown. (a game called One Shot looked similar to Undertale, but barely any gameplay was shown, so I don't have much to go on) Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is coming to Switch, but I'm not sure how fun that would be to play. Maybe that's a sign that I need to branch out into other genres, but my backlog's big enough as it is.
Let's be real, we weren't expecting it.Ahem
As this thread's funny pancake cat stan
It actually isn't really like Undertale at all, its narratively very different and mechanically is entirely a puzzle game with zero combat. It's a meta, narrative driven puzzle game that is very immersive and personal with its story. I features mechanics that interact with you personally and adress you, the player, and even has puzzles that interact with your PC's files and desktop, requiring you to play the game outside of the game.
Honestly, don't wanna say more than that, as the game is best experienced completely blind. If you ever do decide to pick it up, it's about 8 hours for a full playthrough. View attachment 352187

Guh-Huzzah! I'll go ahead and post it for us
As a guy who played it a couple years ago I can confirm that it absolutely does not hold up graphically speaking.I remember thinking that Pikmin 2's environments had some of the most realistic graphics ever at the time.

We go months with little to no news, and then suddenly they're dropping a bunch of stuff at once. Quite a strange decision from them. There was a problem fetching the tweet

Brown brick in MinecraftI remember Gears of War 1 having some of the best graphics for the time and then I go back and everything is just BROWN
Still a phenomenal game tho. Just play the remaster instead.

Love the first 2 and lastest one, like the 3rd (though it's not as fun on replay), and the rest are just eh.which one

This whole time their marketing strategy is baffling from being dead on news to providing a beta to people with insanely strict NDA.There was a problem fetching the tweet
