Okay, so TheMightyP Shroob Lamperouge G Guynamednelson (peeps who I saw interested in the topic)

Streaming to the Steam Deck is magic or something. IDK how Valve did it, but remote play has 0 input lag; The only issue I'm running into is keeping stable connections, but that's honestly probably only an issue 'cause of where my family's router is.

I'm gonna see what methods I can use to streamline it, but yo this is definitely a viable way to play something casually. I'm not even trying to be a Valve fanboy or anything; I'm legit impressed at how well it works, they and AMD worked some kinda wizardry with this stuff.

It helps that they're much bigger fans of Linux than Nvidia. Installing Nvidia drivers on Linux is a bit of a meme due to it being a hassle to find the right one for your card and the drivers themselves being half-assed compared to their work on Windows. Meanwhile with AMD you even have open-source alternatives to the official drivers if they aren't satisfactory.

From what I've heard, they have been changing the Joycons quietly in the background.

However, Nintendo isn't the only one suffering from these issues: Most modern controllers are getting drift issues now, it's just that Nintendo is really easy to clickbait rage articles with so it gets reported about the most. I've actually heard a decent amount of people report PS5 controllers have some stick drifting.

TBH the drift situation is an odd one, and one we'll never know the full story behind, 'cause while it could be fully on Nintendo, it could be the manufacturing company they use as well. Unknowns like that make it hard to trace back the real source problem, because even hardware modders that people oh-so love to praise and give funny internet points to often times have their fixes turn out to be placebo when places like ifixit put them to the test.

If it's the portrayals, that would be one thing (Henry Cavill really needs a movie where he can just act as Superman), but the line-up is pretty much the core members of the team (regardless of which era you're talking about - that may not be Hal Jordan as the Green Lantern, but John Stewart is still a Green Lantern that a lot of people are aware of thanks to the DCAU) plus Cyborg. (if that's what they're complaining about, that would be like complaining that Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor are on the Avengers)

It's so funny that everyone has trauma from playing against Cynthia's Garchomp as kids while I always had Gyarados on my team and matched up extremely well against it thanks to Intimidate and Ice Fang.

But then again in BDSP I went out of my way not to use Gyarados and still beat her on second try. I don't even remember what my strat was. And even Volo only took me only 3 attempts in Legends Arceus (still pretty tough, but a 8 v 6 with Legend's battle system is bs).

It feels almost like I'm missing out by not being traumatized by her. My team match up has always just been pretty good against hers.

Man, thinking about how Sword/Shield had actually pretty good art direction screwed over by shoddy graphics and boring route designs.

I mean look at this.

A dark, enchanted forest lit up by gigantic bioluminescent mushrooms? I live for that stuff. And all things considered it doesn't look all that horrible. Too bad you're only spend about 5 minutes in this area of the game before moving on.


Can't wait until we get Legends: Eternatus in 2035 so Galar can be done some justice.

So the new MK Tracks are enjoyable. Especially like the line-up for the Lucky Cat Cup. Also, the Tracks from Mario Kart Tour are quite interesting in how they change when getting to Lap 2 or 3. Certainly not a feature already in Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed. Would be pretty cool to see future games implement that, especially if the next game turns out to be a crossover.

Snyder JL was the closest thing to us getting a live action version of the Bruce Timm JL team (just needed a Hawkgirl). I’m assuming that moving forward, the movie version of the team is only going to randomly get more hate without regardless of who joins

I feel like it's a mix between nostalgia inexperience, and because of the more limited movepools.

Since most of them were kids when D&P happened, compounded with lack of matchup experience, the weird ass level spike that happens the moment you hit the elite 4 and an even higher spike with Cynthia (EXP share did not fix that, but the lack of made it worse), and lack of fairy types, ir's pretty easy to see why Cynthia was many people's nightmares.

That said, I encountered Cynthia in Black and White and she was not hard at all. She was tough in BDSP but that's mostly because her mons are straight competitive and have counters for nearly anything.

Spring is almost among us, and once it officially starts, I am on video game sabbatical for six months which also includes not logging onto this site. Well, actually I have about 24 hours worth of premium membership left, so I may stick around a little bit longer even after spring starts. Just want to see my girls grace the background of my posts a few more times. I may briefly stop by a bit early, say, late August.

It was an eventful seven months spent with y'all. We got to read The Heist comic in anticipation of the last mystery fighter; my group picture was a success inasmuch as I acquired ~35 likes to it (TBH I never saw that coming as I just say what I need to say and leave and that will set as my wallpaper in a few minutes); me finding a new love in (and no, they could never replace my OGs ); but more than anything, the Social Thread Family has not disbanded even after the end of Smash Ultimate.

I'm usually pretty quiet on graphics drama, but hey, I'll give my thought process on why I'm not too pleased with the courses' graphics, if ya wanna know why some folks aren't a fan:

Mario Kart Tour was a mobile game, which obviously, is far less graphically powerful than something on the Switch. As a result of this, Nintendo gave the game a far simpler art style. It has this sort of plastic, toy-like or cartoony style, which I actually really like. Thing is, this clashes pretty heavily with MK8's art style, with all the realistic textures and the like. So this definitely feels like a byproduct of re-using content from a mobile game for me. Nintendo was probably going for a "quantity over quality" thing here, which I don't think is bad per say. Some people prefer having a wider variety of courses over every course being some graphically impressive marvel, which is totally fine! I just wish Nintendo took a bit more time to make the courses' graphical style consistent with the other courses.

...But I absolutely don't think this is something to lose your **** over, like some folks on Twitter are.
