Meet Gordon Bellamy, born in Washington DC. Gordon would take up roles in various companies, such as Tencent, but the main focus on today's is his role in EA. At the time, Madden wasn't at all diverse. Each if the ivers only featured white players, black players straight up weren't in the game at all, stated because of "hardware limitations". Of course Bellamy took it upon hinself to change that.

Bellamy wasn't really one for sports; his homosexuality as led him alienated from real world sports. However, when it came to sports games, he would be one to work on it. He was the one who actually introduced black athletes in Madden 95, something that was seemingly not possible at the time, leading a charge to more diverse players in sports games.

Aside from that, Bellamy also had a chair in the Game Developers Association, a non-profit orginization dedicated to betteeing the lives of developers. He also worked at companies such as Tencent, and THQ, as well as being on MTG and Spike. Fun fact: he was involved with Spike's VGA with Geoff Keighley, the director of the VGA today.

Today, he lives with his husband and their many dogs in San Francisco.

Actually I think this is a good time to ask this

I'm currently in the planning stage of writing my fantasy novel and I do want to include a diverse cast of characters. It's not set in the real world although there are some cultures that are inspired by real world countries. So specifically for the black users in this thread, how would you want to see yourself represented?

I'm asking this here because i've been told consulting people of the demographics I want to represent is the best way to represent them well, and I don't know that many black people irl but I'd like some input on this
