It's the end of the year. The year Smash Ultimate finally ended! Wow...Just, it's all so bizarre. So much changed for me over the course of these last two years. Met so many new people. It's all a bit much, sometimes.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is...Thank you, SmashBoards, for being a swell 'ol place for a goober like me.

If all of you might entertain me, I'd like to share this song for the moment. It's a song that's helped shape me as a person over the years, and I think about it often. The vocalist does an amazing job of capturing its thought-provoking mood (seriously, she does such an amazing job!) and it really helps get me in the right set of mind for the new year. I was reminded why I don’t play much gacha games unless it’s Arknights

I whaled a lot for Kokomi in Genshin Impact (I got her tho which was worth it)

and I spend so long grinding for gems and tix for Jegran’s burst in DFFOO. Got Fran and Palom’s LDs, all of Rude’s weapons, all of Eight’s weapons but I somehow got all of Jegran’s except his BT. I gave up after like 8 hours of grinding gems and tickets

and I had a co-op match where I was suddenly booted to solo mode with a Jegran and I didn’t know how to use him, all I saw was wow cool rainbow damage (idek what that’s supposed to be) but he’s insanely hard to use. I wasted my time, it ain’t worth it

after the next character drops and I grind their gems and tix I’m taking a break until at least there’s a banner with Sephiroth’s LD and BT to make some Lufenia battles a bit easier. That or a triple Burst banner

I just got back home from a meeting with two of my friends. This was the first meeting of our "writing group" which is basically half of our larger friend group talking about our story ideas and giving each other feedback. Unfortunately, half of the writing group was unable to attend so it was just the three of us.

It was still a ton of fun! I talked about my characters in detail for the first time and I listened to my other two friends talk about theirs, and while my ideas still need to be ironed out they seemed to like them overall. I do need to do a lot of research for worldbuilding and construct a roadmap for where I want my story to go before I start actually writing it, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Also Noipoi thank you so much for including me in the Heisty Holidays, it's a great late birthday gift.

2021? best year I’ve had in, well, years.

I got a lotta things done this year that I’ve been dreaming of for years! And the culty bull**** I’ve had to deal with has been at a relative minimum. I feel like my art is better than ever, and it’ll only improve from there. And most importantly, Pokémon is doing cool **** again!

I’ve made like, fifteen different “you guys are real cool friendaroonies” posts so I’m gonna do another one. You get the jist, you guys are rad. Glad to have you.

Here’s hoping in 2022 I can cross more items off my bucket list, and make more strides toward living the life I’ve always wanted, but was denied of me.

And not to mention, a year with a new Pokémon, Splatoon, Kirby, Zelda, Sonic, and a Sonic movie? AND a Mario movie? Yeah, it’s gonna be rad. Throw in some DK and I’ll never ask Nintendo for anything ever again.

Oh ****, it's Smashboards trendy post time again.

2021 has still been a bit of a weird year, but hey, not nearly as bas as 2021! Got some stuff I wanted to do done, such as getting voice over coaching and working on my channel rebrand, and I started production on Asteria, the series of webcomics I'm making with my friend HaikuHello. As with most projects, it's been tough to make, but it's been super fun! Also achieved some goals I never thought I'd get this year-

• Did voice over for a YouTuber with over 1MIL subs (And they approached me about it, which is pretty crazy!)
• Hired a professional voice actor for Asteria
• Began work on my new booth and my demo reel

Real talk I got Sora and FF7 Remake on PC this year.

Sonic Colors' rOcKy TrAnsItIoN to PC is getting ironed out by surprisingly dedicated official dev patches and quality mods.

The Sonic series actually looks like it's on an upswing, I'm actually really excited for the future (feel free to doompost, it ain't gonna get me down lol)

Destiny 2 fixed it's jank (kinda, sorta it's getting there, okay)

Uh, stuff happened. I was severely depressed the 1st half of the year and the 2nd half things were a little up and down but it got better. Still stuck in this damn pandemic wooooo.

Of course, I still run and stuff season didn't go they way I hoped (injuries and ****), but eh, whatchagunnado.

I did more game design. Woo. I have and will be learning how to properly utiluze Unity. Yeah.

Overall, this year was meh whatever. Could've been better.

As for y'all, y'all are cool I think. I ain't tagging the whole site, but I'll give a shoutout to my fellow black nerds Knight Dude Professor Pumpkaboo Noipoi TMNTSSB4 simply because I ain't got anyone else to talk to about black nerd ****, online nor irl. Noipoi since you wanna go to colege, never go to a 80+% white midwest college no matter how many minorities they plaster on their site, you will regret it.

Okay, I should probably put this out there now. I will not be here on New Years Day as I do take frequent breaks from this site.

2021 was okay, I guess. To me, the only good things that came out of it was Ultimate's DLC. I never thought that I would enjoy playing as , though was the best surprise I experienced (no I am not maining him). Other than that, The Heist was such a blast to read it has become my bedtime story. I turned 60 four months ago and my stepmother retired that same day, loving life a bit more. Got gifted with a Samsung Galaxy last month. This past Christmas, I scored an Xbox 360 (now I can play the original Soulcalibur) and a Nintendo 64 (I never owned one but nostalgia really gets me).

2022 I hope is the year I can round out my game collection...and reach 300+ Bob-ombs counted...and get some snow down here in Atlanta, Georgia...and that this pandemic has an end in sight, etc.

2021 was an interesting year, got heavily into import gaming, which priperly introduced me to Super robot wars, which in turn got me one of my favorite new releases of the year.
Related to That the Japan only release That i wanted to play the most was actually released in the west with the great Ace attorney.

Persona 5 Strikers was a great return to one of my favorite groups of characters in all of gaming,
Hotwheels was a Pleasant surprised, i wasn't expecting to enjoy a licensed hotwheels game so much.

I got Mario 3D all Stars just before the cutoff point and got to revisit a childhood favorite party game with Banana manía.

And the biggest part of the year? Got my dreams character in smash bros after i had given up hoping he'd show up.

Eh, everyone's doing their posts, I'll just do mine now LOL

So... 2021.
I joined SmashBoards this year. I've heard of and seen posts (shoutout to PapaGenos and his vids LOL) on the website but never made an account and posted myself. That is, until May 19th. was the first reveal I reacted to "live", if you will, with this site and with y'all. Y'all are a splendid pleasure to communicate with, and while I was WAY more of a Speculation Part II poster than on this Social Thread (until Sora dropped), I love the age and background diversity we have here. From fellow college students like my boy Theguy123 to people close to or my age like Noipoi , from much older yet vibrant & fruitful folks like Michael the Spikester , Professor Pumpkaboo , and KillerCage to name a few. Given how I'm getting along with people I shared many things in common with and having many laughs, I think it's been a good first year on this site. Cheers to more.

Smash wise, I love the characters we got this year, GODDARN do I like s theme tho, probs of my favorite Ultimate remixes.


Outside of SmashBoards, college is going great so far. Many new friends, and while class difficulty is ramping up as of the time I'm writing this (Engineering

), I've been doing well so far, and shoutout to my study group homies LOL. And family wise, I won't go into it at all, but we got some great things happening so far here, too.

So glad I got myself more exposed to SolidWorks. I think it's a software tool that I can't wait to learn more about as I utilize it for school work and for club work, such as for a Mars Rover project I'm working on. Also glad I learned how to manually use machines such as mills, lathes, and laser cutters!

on another note, as I continue my DB marathon, I can slowly accept the odd sense of Gohan being useful in the Buu saga only to be weakened during the Beerus and Resurrection F sagas…and somewhat better with the Universe 6 stuff, but only because he then managed to go head to head with multiple Super Saiyan levels of Goku, and gaining the respect of a hairless god

all that’s left is for Gohan to run through Mastered Ultra Instinct Goku, and then his family becomes the Great Saiyaclan, and life is strictly good
