Well only time will tell on that. But I guess Dread is up there with MMX8 in getting the main character right after a fumble game. Tho I really liked MMX in Command Mission as well. It did a good job getting the whole "peace seeking warrior" that X is supposed to be.

Not sure if its a Hot Take or not (I don't think it is), but Samus' character in Other M wouldn't be nearly as bad if it was a prequel. But taking place after Super is pretty dumb.

Ain't scared because he has way more hits than he does misses.

Besides, Dread makes up for everything.

It may have taken me three hours but I finally got all of the items in Dread. I can't tell you how many times I backtracked from one side of the map to another just because I took a second glance and somehow I didn't see a giant glowing section the first time I went through it. Fereneia was by far the worst with how often I did it, I maybe spent like 5-10 unnecessary minutes with that backtracking.

Tomorrow I'll beat the game. I'll leave my thoughts thereafter.

Personally, I feel Returns and Dread alone should be enough. Both games have had a strong positive reception (especially Dread) and looking at both it's clear he did take the criticisms of Other M to heart and learned from them when approaching those games. At this point Other M is just a misstep in his career, he's definitely done enough to not let it hold him back.

Played a up to and a little bit after the first boss in Dread. Normally I'd expect to keep getting more to explore with each upgrade but instead Dread likes to keep restricting the explorable areas as you progress.

Personally, I feel Returns and Dread alone should be enough. SR had kinda got a mixed reception within the fanbase over the years. Plus it hasn't sell very well that aren't all the game fault, but I agree it was a good first step in the right direction, with Dread shaping up to be the second big one.

Again, if he can keep the streak going, maybe more peoples will be cool with the fact that Other M was a misteep like you mentionned.

Also, huh, awkward tie-in, but a actual softlock has been found in Dread.

Mind you, this is 2021, so if this piece of info reach the devs/nintendo, chance are it will be patched along with other bizarre bugs that been found like the one that instantkill you outta nowhere (the base version of a game always come up with weird glitches), soo make sure to share it to whoever you know!

I'll admit but the game has really blown me off guard as to how smooth it is. EMMIs are a ***** but in the best way.

I've been working on a big fantasy setting for the past month-ish. Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated (Even if there's barely anyone awake to read about it right now)

So as someone who has been working on fantasy worlds and races I'll give my thoughts.

1. I do love that name of Altheria. Really distinct.

2. I do like the Elves taking from East Asia for inspiration. Mine has real Gaelic magic vibes so it stands out. Also being the dominant race stands out.

3. Clever naming your bird race Tengu and sounds really cool. My bird race takes from Egyptian by the way.

4. Good to see someone else has a taste of Kitsune and Oni (Onima in my stories)

I'll try to think of advice later.

Big brain thought here but I think this is there way of saying or thinking "look! Now we can fix image copyright in the same music, games and film/TV piracy have!" and this is what they came up with.

If NFTs are their so called solution to art theft

its kinda counterproductive seeing as how a lot of NFTs themselves are made from stolen art

I beat Blaster Master Zero 2 last night; it was all right, but definitely harder than the previous game, and it had several key mechanics towards the end of the game that either weren't explained at all or were explained poorly.

My copy of Metroid Dread should be arriving today, assuming that there isn't a delay. Hopefully it does get delivered; I've been looking forward to playing that game for most of the weekend.
