I just saw someone on Twitter convinced that because Sakurai was lying about the ballot vote, the Sora reveal was actually a fakeout, and Crash Bandicoot is getting in instead of Sora.

When someone asked the obvious question about why would Sakurai do a 40 minute presentation for a fake character (nevermind both that such a presentation would also require that character to be fully implemented so it can be, well, presented like it is in these presentations, as well as all the licensing that would be required to do that... for no reason), this individual simply said "Wouldn't he, though?"

...no, he actually wouldn't.

This guy thinking Sora is a fake out is so stupid I am at a loss of words.

So far dread is good though I do feel like I am missing one handy thing from Samus Returns. That handy feature where the Statue thing would mark the location of the next Metroid you had to hunt on your map. That was nice. I’ve only just made it out of the first area and I’m still not sure I have everything I need.

Let's say we do get another Smash game and everyone returns. That's awesome, and I would not complain at the slightest.

But even then, no one is guaranteed to get their most wanted character. I'm definitely not getting Decidueye and I'd like to think my other 3 MWs have a decent shot, but I predicted them several times and they didn't get in. But that game's years off anyway so it's not worth losing sleep over.

The only character inclusion that really got under my skin is Incineroar for reasons that are purely personal, but otherwise I think it's a really solid lineup.

Could it have been better? Sure. But I'm just glad it happened because I never thought it was possible

I fully plan on playing Dread but I'll wait a little bit, I'm in the middle of my first Mario 3D World playthrough. I don't like to start new games until I already finished my last playthrough.

Thankfully 3D World doesn't seem like that long of a game.

Who else playing dread?

I would be, but I ordered a physical copy, and it hasn't shipped yet, which is unusual. (I ordered it online because I'm still a little paranoid about Covid, though the nearest game store being a half hour drive away also plays a part - it's a little out of my way) Usually, games tend to arrive on their release date, or at least get shipped by then - maybe the fact that Monday's a holiday in my country has something to do with it, but it's still weird.

It seems like I've breaking the barriers once again for high level Fighting Ex Layer Another Dash. I'm becoming much more unorthodox, as a more effective way to approach various level player interpretations. Interesting that the prominent players did express confusion and frustration against the way I perform. However, a more conservative convenience was never that effective against them, as that can be solved without much trouble.

I would need to find a way, however, for this discovery I've developed recently, to surface quickly at the beginning of the session, instead of later in those matches. However, I think the tendency for me to bring this out fully, depends on the quantity of the matches in standard.

A FT5 against them is the mindset of requiring it very quickly and developing on it against my opponents. However, a FT10 and beyond, it's hard to sustain, due to an attention span problem.

I guess I'll work on that.

Like I should really be working on something that's supposed to be ready for Wednesday right now but all I can think of is Smash so I can't focus on it.

Replaying Super Metroid to fill the Metroid shaped hole in my heart, and gotta say, after remaping some of the buttons & playing for a bit. The only thing that seem really clunky so far is Bomb Jumping.

Like the timing is really awkward in this game compared to other Metroid's titles, so much so that after a few minutes of trying to use it to get a E-Tank, I had to use a enemy to damage boost right into the item. I almost died, but thankfully, I did it & got the item quite early at this point in the game.

Combined with some good use of walljumping, i'm digging it atm!
