This theme really gives me a load of happy memories when I first played the series back on the Playstation 2.

I actually started playing the KH series right around the time Smash Ultimate was first announced, and throughout the hype cycle, I played through every game in the series.


So it's poetic in a personal way for me as well.

Then suddenly, Cinderace bursts into the scene with the sharp blow of a whistle, and hands Mario a Red Card for touching the ball with his hands.

By the way, lemme just say, Kingdom Hearts music in Smash is gonna be sick. I've played a bit of KH, so I've heard some of its music, but this is my first time really paying attention to it. It sounds so beautiful and elegant, I love it.

Okay, ive had a bit of time to calm down...

This presentation made me feel all kind of emotions, diappointment at the lack of mii's, complete laughter at doomguy, and i cried with Sora. Itruly didn't realize how much actually seeing Sora in smash would hit me emotionally, but it did feel intense.

I'm so glad they went with all four of his main outfits as alts, i genuinely didnt see that coming, i thought they would just stick to one, and i never thought his Kingdom hearts 3DS look would show up at all.

Seeing his steamboat willie outfit brought a smile to my face, that was such a great chapter in Kingdom hearts 2, though i wish they leaned in a bit more into these transformations with his other alts, like the Nightmare before christmas outfit, or the Toy Story outfit. But i'll live.

His final smash is disappointing though lol

And lastly, i HATE how the Switch ports of Kingdom hearts are set to be cloud only, that sucks! I guess it was the only way to fit Kingdom hearts 3 on the console, sure i'll live with that, but the other games? They can run just fine as a cartridge release, i dont see why they put the WHOLE SERIES oncloud.

I don't know how that didn't cross my mind. I guess because of the weird setting with the logo and all the trophies, I was too busy thinking it might be Master Hand or something more broadly applicable to the series as a whole.

Haven't played Kingdom Hearts; does the Keyblade have any connection to fire? Is there some explanation for that trailer that I'm not getting?

At this point I have no sympathy for Sora fans. If Sora doesn't get in it's on them for blowing their expectations out of proportions.

I cannot believe this is over, and honestly? What a perfect way to wrap up this game. Not even a Sora or KH fan (haven't played it) but I'm happy for everyone who wanted him. I may not have gotten a single character I wanted throughout all of Ultimate's DLC, but I still appreciate every single one of them.

Honestly i wouldnt be surprised if that's ACTUALLY a thing that happens in a future Kingdom hearts.
Like we get a Wreck it Ralph world with some of the gaming cameos from the film and Sora bumps into Sonic and immediately recognizes him from world of light.

Well the Keyblade Sora use is associated with Light, and you know, fire & light are never too far away.

Plus it kinda reference I think the worlds -shown as stars in the sky- dying in KH1, I think.
