Hey guys. Something's been on my mind recently, and I've been wondering what others may think of the idea.

In the event that Nintendo decides to make a live-action Metroid movie, do you all think Blake Lively would make for a good/decent Samus?

I know everyone brings up Brie Larson (and I'm not really all that opposed to her), but Blake as Samus has been on my mind for the last few days.

She could work. given how Samus is shown in-game, seeing a different facial struture would take some time. but overall, I think she would work. I am not a fan of Brie, would rather her not be samus. If we had a metroid movie, it needs to be more Alien then Aliens. All i am saying.

As far as I'm concerned for 'That's it? No smash?', there is very high chances of a Smash announcement, according to a leaker on Twitter. They said something like, if there was no direct this week, there would be a Smash Direct instead with high chances...

Though the release is close... was that not October or November? I can see some bingo coming true though.

Nintendo Directs are always overhyped, mostly because people are incapable of learning from mistakes.

People also want fuel for inevitable "Nintendo DROPPED the BALL! NintenDOOMed? They don't LISTEN to the FANS!" tweets and YouTube videos where they then proceed to demand 5 sequels for every 90's Nintendo franchise to release yesterday. They will then proceed to estimate that they know more about video game development than people trained and paid professionally to do it because they sure did play a lot of that there Supa Mero Bras. when they were a kid.

Every once in a while we’ll get a packed direct, and people expect every direct to be that packed. They conveniently forget that most are just pretty good.

Warioware is already out. this direct is about winter releases. And RE has spirits added post launch. I subscribe to the idea both DLC packs were planned at the same time. So I think this is a troll.

Why spend so much time on games already revealed/released for the Switch? I can understand Dread and Splatoon 3 but not Quake or WarioWare.

Fair points, which is why it more so probably isn't real. Still this doesn't have to be the full direct, just games that could be showcased briefly.

I also think the spirt Argument is fair game, but honestly we have spirits now that got promoted, and there's definitely ways around that if that was the last smash character.

Outside of that, I could see Wario Ware come up with like a DLC update or something and mentioning of it being out, but that's about it.

Thing is though, Min Min, Pyra, and Mythra's spirits were in the base game, RE's spirits were not. That's why the spirit debate keeps happening.

This is true, but I'd say any spirits released before Fighter Pass 2 had its first release are fair game. Although I don't remember when The RE spirits came out. Its always possible the spirits were planned early on but delayed, even after deciding on a potential RE rep. Also RE spirits could use the later designs for the characters, not the spirit ones. Granted that's a lot of things that aren't concrete, and I'd say RE is probably out of the running, but anything is possible technically.

Aight, lemme give my predictions real quick.

-Starts with smash. If they don’t do the Sakurai Presents coming soon thing, it’ll be a more low key character. Probably first party. Certainly not this big grand finale some are expecting. It’s Cinderace
-GB, GBC, N64 online revealed. N64 controller revealed.
-Brief section on Pokémon, drop a couple Hisui forms.
-Splatoon 3 gets a slightly more in-depth trailer. If it drops in Q1 2022, a release date as well.
-New Kirby shown, possibly 3D.
-Dread gets a final trailer. It’s way too spoilery. Metroid fans scream.
-I’m gonna bet Donkey Kong doesn’t show up. As much as I want it to.
-Perhaps a new FE remake?
-Advance Wars and Mario Party get touched on.
-F Zero does not appear.
-Triangle Strategy takes up way too much time.
-Xenoblade 3 as final reveal. Fall 2022 release.
-Nintendo fans are pissed (Free Space)

Predictions for tomorrow:

  • Animal Crossing rises from the grave to at least give us Brewster, maybe Gyroids as well
  • Pokeman moment
  • Smash (if not outright reveal, telling us to be patient and come back next week for Sakurai Presents 'cause they're not gonna do it Metroid Dread's launch period, lol)
  • Kirby (PLEASEBE3DPLEASEBE3DPLEASEBE3DPLEASEBE3DPLEASEBE3DPLEASEBE3DPLEASEBE3DPLEASEBE3DPLEASEBE3D)
  • No Bananas (sorry Noipoi Noipoi )
  • No Splatoon (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :drflip:)
  • 3rd party stuff no one cares about because some online Nintendo fans don't know other companies make games too.
  • They drop news about rumored Twilight Princess and Wind Waker HD ports now that Skyward Sword has sold through what it's gonna.
  • No BotW2
  • Advanced Wars
  • Indie segment everyone complains about
  • JRPGs and everyone has a Scott the Woz moment (I know he plays that up for the video: He's not actually toxic about JRPGs, I'm just making a funni lol)
  • Chrono Cross Remastered gets announced (PLEASE I WANT THAT LEAK TO BE REAL)
  • One last thing is something Mario. Maaaaaaybe Odyssey 2, depends if DK rumors are real.
EDIT: OH YEAH and Age of Calamity DLC, they need to finish that.

Reason I feel no Splatoon is 'cause I feel it's their late summer game next year and it'll hog a ton of E3 attention, so they'll save it for that.

I think due to how packed things have been this fall and winter, they're gonna have a dry period after Legends Arceus and we won't see another major release until around May, probably when the new Kirby's launching.

I agree on the release date, but I still think it’ll get mentioned. At least a little.

But hey, we’ll see.

Okay so random thing to bring up, but i was just thinking about this.

There's still a small but not impossible chance that the fourth Yokai Watch game could still get localized into english, because Level 5 never actually did the localization work for these games, Nintendo did. And the manga still gets localized, which has some content from the fourth game localized into english.

It would feel pretty awkward for me to actually see it happen after ive long since given up on it and went out of my way to import a japanese copy lol
