Anyway, I’m pretty bored so here, take some wholesome

Few quick thoughts as well.

-Insomniac are ****ing killing it. They are honestly one of the best studios in the industry.
-Deathloop is still in the near future my main reason to get a PS5. Looks funk.
-Taicha looks really good. Reminds of a mixture of Rime, Journey and BOTW. Also New Caledonia is a fascinating country from what I've seen.
-Forspoken would look great if the characters didn't look a bit too uncanny valley.
-Guardians of the Galaxy looks like 6/10 The Game.

I will admit that I'm pretty excited to see Insomniac do for Wolverine as they did for Spider-Man. Game should be pretty sick.



Bummer, but I get it.

Hopefully the series will come back someday.

I know dude I love the series as well. Hopefully a mix of both styles from Second Son and the first two would be nice. Like the whole monsters and karma from the first two but that real urban punkness of the third.

That being said Ghost is just as great though. I'd get it if you haven't already.

I just want actual God of War back. It’s not the story or the character or the art direction that bother me. It’s just the gameplay is so subpar compared to the classic it’s infuriating. Especially with the number of hack and slash games dwindling by the hour.

I’m sorry but there was just nothing to be excited for in that lineup and i’m just so disappointed at how bland and creatively bankrupt Sony has become.

I'm pissed too at their Japan ****ing over as well but I've got companies like Falcom and Namco to do me in a way. I would kill for a third Gravity Rush and and a new game by Fumito Ueda considering how massive their inspirations are to me. God of War is really the last major connection for me to like them.

As for God of War it is the better direction. You won't like it but I'd have the more human Kratos in Norse Mythology world than "I **** and kill everything!" Greek Kratos.

Gameplay? Eh a mix. I like it.

Finished watching the Playstation Showcase and whilst there are some games that caught my interest, personally I was really hoping for some new fighting game announcments or Final Fantasy XVI, but I guess I'll have to wait for future events with TGS coming up later this month for news.

Linear level design. Tones of enemy and monster and boss variety. That’s the stuff that makes God of War good to me and it’s all the stuff the two new games lack and at this point I’m just tired of them pulling this ****.

And it’s not just Japan. Where’s the sequel to that MediEvil remake on PS4? Where are Jak and Daxter or Sly Cooper? Where’s inFamous. Where are all their old third party friends like Crash, Spyro, Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Metal Gear, Resident Evil, or Devil May Cry? Heck, WHERE IS TWISTED METAL!?! How many more open world movie games do they need? Where’s the variety? Where’s the spark? Where’s the love for their history? Where’s the heart?

Like I wish for all that as well but then again I'm at the point where I need to stop going mad about games like you and so I take what I can get.

Hopefully that 10,000+ word letter I sent them will do the trick and show them just how important his inclusion would be to the Church of Big Wheel.

DMC 5 wasn't that long ago and neither was Crash 4 or the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. FF16 is in the works and we're getting a new Oddworld game. Resident Evil 8 came out earlier THIS year. Not to mention a potential remake of RE4. I agree that the change in GoW's mechanics are disappointing but you overreact about everything. Also the lack of locking on is a crackhead move. DMC and Bayo got them, don't see why GoW shouldn't either. And if it's really that bad, you could always look towards different games that have similar gameplay vibes, you don't need the AAA studios to offer up everything.

Hell, I also have my own gripes with Naughty Dog's change in direction. Cause I personally can't give much of a **** about Uncharted or The Last of Us. Castlevania and Metal Gear you'll have to take that up with Konami, but they barely make ANY games for ANY console, let alone the fact that CV is far more of a "Nintendo-y" series.

Yeah I hope Insomniac can handle it in a healthy manner. It seemed like they worked on Miles Gaiden and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart around the same time, so maybe two projects are their limit?
